No Lar!! Seriously, I started with a ST11 and moved on to the STX13.......then came the gs1200 and changed that to the GS800......hand itchy went and got myself the DR650 and only after 4 months, wala!!!! back to the best bike I have rode i.e. the GS1200 but now with the A....wakakakakakaka

 

Moral of the story......one will best know what bike is good for his riding style and comfort......i trust all here will definitely stick with the Bo Money Wo!! Imagine how many of us like wasabi? I lioke.....hehehehehehe...

Just ordered and received a Touratech GPS mount for my 660 directly from Touratech De.....with the delivery came a letter stating...."Since we have accepted your payment for the same, we will honour the delivery. For future orders please contact our agent at some company starting with A...... Auto or something located at Alexandra Road (will go back to search for the letter and let you all know the exact company, hope I never throw away the letter)

For all the misgivings I have for the GS1200, today I experience something that may have made me ride this for a long time. Was glad had a chance to ride the GS in heavy rain today. I was riding along Woodlands Ave 12 @80km/h and was pouring heavily. Traffic light changed to yellow at a distance, originally wanted to just chiong it coz it was raining and then i spotted traffic cameras. So did late and hard braking. Usually, I was tighten the braking as the bike slows and let the front skid a little bit since its so wet. Especially when the bike dives under heavy braking towards the end of the braking.

 

I always tot the tele-lever is a marketing gimmick. Now I can attest to its effectiveness. The bike didn't dive at all. It just "sits" and is extremely stable. And there's no skidding. Its probably I didnt brake hard enough but my past experience with FZ1 tells me this amt of braking would be more than sufficient for it to skid.

 

Such an amazing device :p.... Was thinking that all road bikes should have tele-lever.

You will not understand the bike until you had ridden it. Personally own and ridden 4 boxers, the ride experience is priceless. If anybody tells you Japanese bikes are easy to maintain and easier to get spares, tell them to come out of the well. With the latest technology put into the bikes now it's almost like the Beemers now.

That is why I got my R1200R recently. It's just because of that tele-lever.

 

It's not a gimmick, when I had my R1100R, it probably saved me many times, more so than the ABS. Tele-lever and ABS makes emergency responses much less life threatening.

 

Problem is, once you spend too much time riding Rs and Ks, you will tend to lose the skills to ride "normal" bikes.

2006: Harley Davidson Sportster 1200 Low

2008: BMW F800ST

2011: BMW R1200R Classic (still riding)

2015: Harley Davidson Low Rider

Yupz - am still marveling at the braking performance. The ABS didnt even come on, so i just didnt brake hard enough and the stopping distance was really good already. Can't wait for the next chance to try the ABS. Next time, will really squeeze the brake.

Wanna ask any bro here install H&B rack for top box for 12gs experience both the screw broke tt mount to the tail? Any suggestion to make the rack more stable?

 

Not exactly GS and not the screws that broke. But this happened to me last week. I would suggest you consult a professional like Seng Kwang.

They r famous for that...

I order online can get stuffs within a week but pml 2 mths liao still not yet arrive...

My first experience with them. . . .And it turned out BAD!

Next will be the servicing. . . Don't know how its going to be :(

BMW . . . There is certain expectation from the brand. . .

When i sign the dotted line. . They should inform me. . . So i'm prepare. . . . . NOT when i collect the bike. . . .The secont i have a glance at my bike, i noticed my top box not there, i must ask about it, then only informed. . . . THAT'S NOT THE WAY!

the liquid cooled GS is offically released

 

rejoice for present GS/GSA owners, the exisitng model look nicer..it will take me awhile to accept the new look...i just ride mine a few more months,or years..:)
