Ya, driver was stuck in turning lane, tried to eat out. Of coz the other side of story is rider was on go straight lane to eat into the turning lane right at the traffic light ...

 

Hmmm.... ask this way. When you're on other bikes, you squeeze and knock ppl's side mirror, what do you usually do?

 

Anyway, I find that with 2 side panniers, in the beginning, i was afraid of glazing other cars. But I lately found that its not really possible, if you can pass the front of bike, then your panniers can pass. So don't worry too much.

For me i nvr use side panniers when in town. Only if going up to Penisular than will mount it. But If mount side panniers pls go by 2nd link my advice cause woodlands will be very tight with the panniers. U nvr hit ppl , ppl will scratch u lol

Not for crossing causeway of coz.... ya. I'm sourcing for a top box so that I can drop the sides when I'm just riding for a drink.

Guys, Need your help to confirm on my findings.

 

Went to do 5k oil change at outside mechanic (Cannot mention). asked to look at my brake pad oso.

Found my rear one need to change... When removed, found that the brake pad is wear is uneven...

One side still got more to go & the other side is already thin...

According to the mechanic, my brake system is stuck on one side... The silver caliper according to the mech is jam stuck & that cause my pad to have uneven wear.

Call up PML to ask & Kris told me it's normal...

Have u guys experience this situation...? So far have no issue on my rear braking & the ABS is working fine...

Just this uneasy feeling when mech told me this...

The rear brake caliper is 2-pot i.e. there are 2 pistons on one side of the caliper that press against the disc and retracts. Why don't compare it with the front calipers which are 4-pot? If your caliper is jammed, you either have a smoking rear disc or drastic wear. Remedy is to take out the pistons and give it a good clean, but will have to re-bleed the system.
