Bent at 3 spots. Not as tough as I thought. But then again, you'll never know what mother nature is capable of.

Hi, my ex 1100s have a simple wire mesh installed on the oil cooler using just cable tie and it serve the purpose, never removed it for cleaning b4 just spray some water to wash the oil cooler. i dont think those from touratech and winderich are easily detachable.

Happy New Year!!! :)

thinking of getting a F800GS but dear bros out there, may I have your opinions on some stuff?

Mainly being maintenance, heard that many shops here do not do BMW bikes, hence where is a cheaper place to service and maintain the bike?

Good day people. I just bought myself F700GS from PML today.

I intend to place my Givi B47 Blade Monolock top box for the mean time using the Universal Baseplate.

Any idea how to install the baseplate? Thank you :)

Hi, I'm considering the f800gs adventure but what's the difference of getting from pml n pi in Sg? Would pi be able to support?

What are the top 5 essential accessories should I want to travel up to kl only, other than the 3 boxes?

Appreciate your assistance

PML vs PI is all about cost and after sale support. Though now PML offer pretty decent prices so need to weigh your option. Some PI can support servicing your bike, some can't. Usually OEM parts still order through PML.

F8 adventure to KL and back. If you stick to the highway, the only accessories you need is basically nothing. It's quite perfect already for tours. Just take note not to expect travelling any faster than ~160km/h max at constant pace. It's not like the R12 or any other touring bike which can go faster longer. The F8 doesn't have the geometry nor the proper tyre size and it's only 85 hp. So yeah.

Be careful where u got it from other than PML. A fren of mine juz got his 1200 GS LC from one of the shop in Bt Merah (Will not mention shop)... Get gd price of $3X,XXXK (will not mention price)

Juz completed running in, goes back to the shop to do service, shop mention their diagnostic not updated & cannot diagnos his bike... Ask him go another shop to do it..

Only manage to change Oil filter & EO... My fren insist of changing gear oil too but shop very reluctant.. After insisting for some time then they change gear oil for him...

Before u buy, everything ok... After buy, u must bear wif the after sale service...

So it's up to individual to weigh out the ur option.

Happy choosing bro...

Can i also add that PML may not meet expectations of some owners. Guess since many BMW bikes goes through them, they have lots of customers thus, servicing isn't usually fast all the time. Also they will strictly follow Bmw manual and recommendation. So if you are the sort who likes to tinkle and have your own professional opinion on the bike, PML may not look for good for you.

Thank you for the advice. I did some apple to apple comparison and found that in terms of pricing there is not much differences.

PML GSA f800 does not come with ESA and ASC functions shipped to singapore. If these two features are added, it's definitely a sure buy for me. Pml also comes with 2 years warranty unlike PI offers only 1 year.

Another thing about pml is the delivery time, unlike PI can deliver within 2 weeks.

It's really a big dilemma since my wallet is not thick enough..

yup, PML nowdays offer competitive prices to challenge PIs. wallet not thick in what sense? month installment? Servicing and maintenance?

anyway i guess in my opinion, if you're the sort of owner who likes to tinkle and do alot of things yourself, PI makes more sense. You can invest in a GS911 and the proper tools, buy items online and you are more or less covered. if you're the sort who likes to just send it to the workshop and let them do whatever that needs to be done, PML then. paid premium for their services and warranty so might as well take full advantage of it. just bare in mind BMW bikes are not perfect in any way and they do have problems from time to time and you must be prepared to face it hahaha
