8D/7N Songkran Festival April 2011 @ Phuket + Phuket Bike week

Dates: 09 April 2011 (SAT) to 16 April 2011 (SAT)

 

Organiser: PaLmEr

 

Number of days of leave (5 day work week): 05

 

Closing date: 28 FEB 2011 2359hrs OR Rooms fully taken up

 

Meeting Date: 09th April 2011 (Saturday)

 

Meeting Time: 0100hrs

 

Total Mileage: 3,000 KM Estimated

 

Fuel Stop Intervals: 150-180 KM. Maximum 200 KM or 2 hours of road time (for safety reasons)

 

Travel Insurance: Can be arranged for participants (Compulsary for everyone to have travel insurance which covers MOTORCYCLING. Evacuation costs (touch wood!) can be astronomical!)

 

Cost: 7 Nights stay @ Approx S$300/person. (twin sharing per room) (1 person to 1 room = S$600)

 

Payment: Full payment by 28th Feb 2011.

 

Notes:

- Hotel standards will be decent. We are going up North to have a nice holiday, enjoy ourselves, have fun and have a comfortable stay, We are NOT going for a training camp or to stay in a chicken coop.

- We will be meeting up with another group of Singaporean bikers in Phuket for the water war!

 

Confirm: pls provide your "nickname / number of pax / bike / no. of rooms" in the next post

 

Requirements:

- Bikes: 400cc and above.

- Pillions are welcome.

- Bike must be in good condition, notably brakes, drivetrain, tyres. A pre-ride meeting will be arranged about 2 weeks before the ride for vehicle check and get to know each other session. Please show up with the same vehicle that you are bringing on the trip.

- Travel insurance with MOTORCYCLE COVERAGE. (I can assist with this if you do not have any. PM me if interested.)

- Bikes with carburetors, please inform me.

 

Group Size safety limit: 20 pax or 10 rooms, whichever comes first.

 

Sat 09 Apr 2011

- Singapore - Thailand Ride (900KM, 9-11 hours) Safety briefing will be conducted.

 

Sun 10 Apr 2011

- Hat Yai - Phuket Ride (480KM, 7 hours) Safety briefing will be conducted.

- Phuket Bike Week, soak in the atmosphere of bikers from all over the world attending Thailand's largest Bike Festival.

 

Mon 11 Apr 2011

- Leisure sightseeing around Phuket Island.

 

Tue 12 Apr 2011

- SONGKRAN EVE Water war after lunch. (Strictly no riding!)

 

Wed 13 Apr 2011

- SONGKRAN DAY OUT! Water War! (Strictly No riding!)

 

Thu 14 Apr 2011

- Phuket - Hat Yai Ride (480KM, 7 hours) Safety briefing will be conducted.

 

Fri 15 Apr 2011

- Hat Yai - Morning Tour around the region. Lunch by the Seaside. Free & Easy, Shopping, Massage, Eat & Drink.

 

Sat 16 Apr 2011

-Thailand - Singapore Ride (900KM, 9-11 hours) Safety briefing will be conducted.
