Hi tijou,

Your manual shud have a guide of run in.. However, there are several options available..

1. Dyno soft run in.

2. Dyno hard run in.

3. Daily ride run in.

I personally prefer daily ride run in. I take it as a time for me and my machine to bond; get to know each other. One thing i was told on running in is, dnt stay on the same rpm for too long.. Vary ur rpms.. And there are stages at which rpm ur bike can go in the run in process.. Just my two cents..

Most of the nice accesories are not locally available.. (splash guard, fog lights, sargeant seats etc). Locally, you can try unique and motoworld for those generic type of accesories. (grips, mirrors, engine protections, etc). As for your soft panniers, you may go to mah motor (givi) or bike tech 21 (sw motech). I would not recommend side bags for z1000 naked becoz of inconvenience factor and questionable reliability of the bag attachment. For myself, i tour with a sw motech (sports) tank bag and waist pouch for thai trips.

Thanks bro... Can PM me the price of the SW Motech you paid locally, including the C Bow Bracket?..

I am thinking of getting the Kriega US40 litres Combo..but I am afraid it does fit because the compartment below the seat does not have any bracket to secure the strap.

How about locally? Any recommendations?

Locally u can try unique (rizoma accessories, side mirror, horns, back off brake light kit, gear indicators, volt meters, alloy rims, tyres, exhaust protection, headlight protector, sprockets n chains, windscreen, dampers, levers etc) or motoworld (windscreen, dmv accessories, on board camera, exhausts end cans, steering damper, SS brake lines, etc)

Other locally available accessories are stuffs like PC5, sw motech bags or guards (pre orders), racing footrest, bar end balencers, sliders, L port valve.. Wah i cannot remember all..

hey guys, i am planning to buy a z1000. how much are you getting per litre? and how is the bike performance?

Full tank can get me abt 260-280km, 16km per litre thereabout.. I'm riding the 2014 model.. To me it's more of a toy, real fun to ride but not really a practical bike.. It's more for a single rider kinda bike, your pillion won't enjoy it.. Coming from ST1100, my wife hates riding 2up on this bike, it rides harsh & the rear seat is tiny.. Don't mean to sound crude, but if fc is your concern for a litre bike, then NC750X is the bike you should look at.. If you are looking for a toy, then I would say pull the trigger & go for it.. If your want something comfortable & have excellent fc, then NC750X is not a bad choice..

Bro HaChoo...probably I will elaborate abit more on this bike..i totally agree with Bro Azza comments.

It is a practical bike if you need space to store your stuff and helmets. But in term of naked bike performance, I have to say it is one of the best I had. The gear ratio is good in the sense that even you drop your speed on 6th gear, you dont need to shift your gear lower, the bike is still very stable.

I have not really tested the bike for long distance but probably will head to phuket for the Phuket bike Show in Apr 2015..But so far, the ergonomic of the bike, I would say it is quite comfortable.

HL cycle is having promotion for Z1000, calling at $25k w/o COE, you may want to check with them.
