Hi guys. I met with a minor accident, front wheel lock and skidded when i hit a pothole. My speed was only about 20-30km/h.

The bike feels like it wants to drop left and right when riding straight. The faster i ride, the more it wants to drop to either side, like a pendulum.

I then had replaced new forks and triple tree/triple clamp, according to my mech's advice.

Now my bike feels like falling to the right when i ride straight. When i let go of the handlebars, it wants to turn left. When i corner left, its super stable. When i corner right, it feels like its gonna fall to the ground.

Any ideas what could be the problem here?

I think is wheel bearing. Last time I got into accident with my NSR, i changed fork and clamp, still the same problem like you. Then found out that it is wheel bearing when ah chong lift up my bike and shake my wheel.

Yeah, i went back from my mech. He basically reset my forks, re inserted my tire into the rim, knocked the disc brake and resat the brake caliper. It was much better than before but it still wants to fall to the right, sometimes, but its barely noticeable.

Will a worn out tire cause this?

Best advice, do what the other bros have adviced. Go to your mech ask to check first see if the bearing are gone. If so change them.

Hope that solves the problem if not then....

DIE!!!! Bike chassis twisted liao! Scrape bike! (howl !!!!)

Nah just kidding, minor accident usually won't be so bad until chassis twisted.

Naaaaaaaa, go to another mech and say " can check my wheel bearing and steering cone bearing"

Dun tell that mechanic what go on, just ask them to check.

The check is very easy for a experience mechanic and should only cost you $5-$10.

Don't use your current mech.

Agree with the rest. Also, Cone bearing can be checked by putting bike on mainstand and have front wheel off ground. If feel a "grove" in middle while turning bars left and right. Time to change. Diy cheaper and fun but troublesome if without special tools

this is what i can think of, wheel alignment(front/back), wheel axle, handlebar, steering rod, axle clamp, brake caliper stuck or rubbing, jaggered tyres or tyre pressure, cone bearing, worn damper, theres alot to check, even a clutch cable that runs around the fork can cause this.. but this kinda case is usually your cone bearing damaged.. lift your front tyres and turn left to right and right to left, if theres a bump in the middle, time to change.. another way is to put your bars straight and reverse your bike slowly... see where your bike goes..

When i lift my front tyres and turn the handlebar from left to right, right to left, i dont feel a "bump" when doing so. Its smooth.

When i reverse slowly, the bike goes straight backwards.

I'll check the rest.

The description of your problem seems to be the front and rear wheels are not tracking straight.

Check the rear wheel, make sure it is properly aligned.

I just changed my front wheel bearings and a new set of tires. It still feels like its gonna fall to the right, but slightly. Not as much as before. When i brake, it feels like its gonna fall more to the right. When going straight, its barely noticeable now, but when i clutch in, the bike will want to fall back to the right again, but not so much as before, now that the tyres were changed.

I also think its wheel alignment already... Try checking the brakes..

What do you mean by wheel alignment? Is it the both wheels not aligned or one wheel is not aligned?

Bro, One more thing for you to check.. See your swing arm the axle bolt.. Theres a marking on it.. Check if the left and right marking is the same..

Let's say, when i apply my brakes at high speed. Then when i brake slightly harder, my handlebars, the whole front of my bike will wobble let and right.

What could be the cause of this? I never had this happen even after i changed the brake hose and fluid. It was after my forks were replaced, serviced, disc brake bent back straight, replaced wheel bearing etc.

still yet to rectify it..very irritating i must say, when u sit on your bike also can feel like one side is higher than the other....haha:nono:

Im guessing for my case is my fork tho..:?

if the bike only behaves abnormally under braking then it is very likely the problems lie with the braking system or at least start checking from there.

From your description, it sounds like warp rotor aka brake disc.
