need help for touring

what should i prepare before going on tours? eg. spare clutch cable, tyre repair kit.

and what should i check for before going? eg. engine oil, tyre pressure.

 

please do give some advice. I will be most appreciated

A set of spare keys, spare brake & clutch lever and also some simple tools.

Really glad to hear of your interest to go for touring.

 

By right, you should go to a reputable motortiam and give your bike a thorough check. Your fork oil, oil seal, your wheel bearings, your cone bearing, chain slack. Do stock up on spare brake level, spare clutch lever, chain lube (you are definitely covering a lot of distance. Lube about every 300km) and of course, your spirit of adventurism!

juz got my fz1N and started going to just aroung JB and malacca. Going up to fraser Hill in feb and maybe thailand Mid year. juz to progressively tour up. hehe

add more lights? the highway there at night is very dark unless full moon and rains here n there... so jacket is a must. extra plugs, tyre patch lots more..

im going up kl this feb. got all i needed for the trip.

Spare copy of log card, bike lock, spare keys for your bike & locks, tire repair kit, hand pump, contact for towing service (in case of emergency). Try to get your chain secure by rivert instead of clip type.

 

Bring more cash, bring old stuff so that you can use and throw. Then replace with some new stuff as you travel. E.g. shirts, socks, underwear etc.

 

Finally, don't forget your camera.
