Went to Paul this morning.

Change oil, filter, spark-plug and tuning, $55.

 

Mentioned about our PD trip.

He knew about it and was interested and waited for call, but didn't mentioned from who.

Mentioned about our coming trip to Cherating, he said he is interested.

Call him if confirm already.

pingster i tink u need to replace ya old condenser like mixmaster, varamax & i did if not da lites either hang or too fast or wont come out if engine off....now all our vara ok & super cool....hehehe!

beb no worries abt da crash bar, but since abbattory gonna do da crash bar fabrication we wait better so save $$$$ hehehe!

 

but i prefer different design den lousy sw-motech bar dat simone, wild i, visual have which bends after a fall....

abbattory sori i wont be comin cuz work 4pm-1am den next day 8am....hehehe! maybe next time btw abt da undercrowl so far only boy melayu wants it...dunno who else wants it....

Cherating Trip

 

* Here are the minutes from the KTM meet up. These are tentative planning which yet to be confirmed.

 

1. Date : 29/04/2005 (FRI), 30/04/2005(SAT), 01/05/2005(SUN) [ 3 days 2 nites ]

 

2. Estimate Distance from SG to Cherating : 360km / 5 hours ride

 

3. Route to be taken

29/04/2005, FRI ---

0630 Meet up at Adam Food Corner then, proceed Woodlands Checkpoint.

1000 Kota Tinggi Town for Breakfast

1200 Mersing for Lunch

1600 Cherating Town

 

30/04/2005, SAT ---

0800 Tour places of interests in Pahang. 2 places.

2. 7 pax chalet, $780RM.

Hi all

About the fork suspension at front of our Vara.. there is this short sag area on each of the shiny tubes that moves up down when you sit on bike or hit a bump. The shiny tube is made of hardened steel and can withstand rock knocks thrown up by cars or what hve you. If dented or chipped it could cause seal to leak. But for added peace of mind, I tot I find something to protect this area. Some ppl use stockings or buy commercial fork protector from bike shops like Mah (Jln Besar) or Bike Productn (I think). My solution involves using S$1.20 kitchen floor trap and hose clips (see pix attached)

 

Steps

a. Get 2 pieces floor traps (bought at Shop In supermart). The smaller inside piece is used as it fits the 55mm outer fork housing

b. Using gardener cutter and handsaw I saw it to look like second pix n get the 10 to 2 o'clock protection (Anything more it could collect dust.)

c. then add some stickers for aesthetic. YOu could spray paint I suppose.

d. Then using 2 (51-70mm dia) hose clips (each 80cents from hardware shop near Kelantan Rd) I attached it to the outer fork housing.

 

Note: I made abv for 125 and I think you can use PVC pipes as alternate material.

 

(Total costs S$4.00) Now my fork is protected against rocks and cockroaches..hahaha..hmm wonder what I can do with toilet seat cover - backrest?
