For me it is my chain that is giving me the problem, it rust far too easily even with proper lubrication, do not know what is the brand of the chain but it has those dull bronze/gold colored plating at the side, the rust forming is not to the point beyond salvation, can be easily removed but I am just far too paranoid in keeping my bike in good condition, another thing is that the way it rains over at my side, being in the open car park is one thing, the wind pickup while raining is side way, so much so that my old trax cover was blown off a few times in the middle of the night and I had to go down while still under the effect of man-made anesthesia to cover it back. It is also that side wind that causes rain to soak my chain in rain. Maybe it is just me who is far too particular when it comes to my bike, it is like my newborn jewel. haha...

Chain rusting n rotors rusting after rain is common. no need to feel paranoid :D Do note that bike may topple over with bike cover when wind is strong.

You planning to bore up your fz16 to 200CC I assume? Since it is the maximum 1 can go in Singapore for the restriction of classes vs cc.

Not sure if I can post fb page or pages from other forum but here goes:

Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but from reading it, does not seems like it will be cheap, not sure if it will cause your inspection to fail etc. But 1 thing I can be sure is your fuel consumption will go up by quite a lot but I guess that will not be a concern with how much more power you can get.

Looking for a bike shop for mounting it up. The bore up kit cn get at $380 at WYP but together with mount cost abt $1000. So is it worth to get it big bore. I just want my fz16 to have smooth ride and a lil power

Maybe some advices from all of you for making fz16 a smoother bike will be great

you can consider changing to a smaller width rear tyre.

change the air filter to K&N.

lastly.. gentle on the throttle, that make your ride smooth... LOL

I saw a 72mm which can bore up to 225cc. Hehe... top speed I tried was 132 km/h on NSH. Going on K&N air-filter only. The rest all stock.

My ride is stock, only change to dunlop Tyre and brt cdi. Yesterday manage to get 123 at gear 5 9000 rpm. Next servicing going to change sprocket...

Niceeee. But I wonder... even if change sprocket, how much more can you go faster? I mean it's a 2B street-bike anyways @_@

Basically playing around with sprocket means:

Better pick up , lower top-end.

Lower pick up, better top-end.

Forget to share..

The factory handler grip is not that good. There many ppl actually change to BMW grips ($20+) from performance motor along bukit timah road.

Is thick, n slick to grip during raining days, for that price is a good price to try.

I bought a pair of puppies grip and love it too. It's also quite inexpensive so worth a try too but not sure if it's available locally though.

sianzzz... yesterday bike no electric... called tow. today say wire break... wonder why....

BTW I put my number but nobody else put... no group in that case?

My condolences, how much for the towing and repair? It is my first time hearing wires breaking but maybe it is the wires that are located around the pivot part of the front head where your handlebar turns.

I do not quite get you for your second question about putting in your number and having group in the case haha, it might just be me who do not understand though. :p
