Hi... Any FZ16 rider who is 179 cm tall ?

Need some feedback on positioning. e.g. like is the seat too low, handle too close or just nice...

Haven't got a chance to test ride.

Also another question. I have no chance to test any other bike on expressway. During the Expressway familiarisation, at 80-90 km/hr, the bike handle and the bike vibrate till like going to chui like that, which I feels very insecure. Not too sure if all 2B bike feels like that or its because the bike at centre kanna buang and drop till balancing, alignment all out liao !? Seriously I was holding the handle super firm and my leg never clamp to the oil tank super tight like never before. Dam scary really.

How does FZ 16 handles at 90 - 100 km/hr (on straights) ?

I just passed my 2B. Very keen in FZ16ST (2nd hand)

Today go test ride Duke200 & RC200. (toooo $XXX... but since can test ride just try lor).

My personal feeling base on my height and super limited experience in riding:

Duke200

- Handle like too near to me (or the distance between my body and the handle is too close) don't feel comfortable handling the bike in that position

- the foot rest feels a little to rear, so feeling a bit off balance (like body vertical straight up and legs push back like that)

RC200

- Reach is pretty good for me. (not too close nor too far)

- Foot rest is further backward, but don't know why, the position to foot brake and change gear seems more comfortable comparing to the Duke.

- turning left and right, I feel that its handles better, easier to lean to turn.

BTW I only managed to read till page 54 of this CHAT !!!... long way to go till I finish .... faint... ; )

179 cm. Ok maaaa. If the seat is too low, you can always add cushioning into the seat to make it higher. If the handle-bar is too near to you, you can always adjust the handle-bar, that means DIY-ing or heading to a bike shop.

The FZ16 handles 90-100km/h like a piece of cake on the highway. Very balanced as our rear tires are generally larger than other 2B bikes.

The RC200 is a sports-bike. Normal for having footrests that are more towards the rear-end. But the FZ16 is in a very neutral position, comfortable.

Bike feels smoother cos the engine breathes better. But upgrades to air filter and cdi will really bring out the beast.

Some people would say an after market exhaust wouldn't help in top speed or even pick-up. I'd say it does. Gotta have personal experience also...

I've changed mine to a racing CDI and a K&N Stock Air Filter

There are other ways to bring out the FZ.. you can always change your block, racing cam, racing carb.. many more~~~ but at the end of the day, how fast you want a 150CC bike to go!?!?!??!?! It's a street bike not a sports bike...

Hi bro,

I'm 177cm in height and currently riding a FZ16ST for about 2-3 months.

Position wise I thought it was just nice as I am able to ride around Singapore without getting any backache or such. Well that depends on how you sit also. (leaning forward or sitting straight).

For me I ride around 80 to 100 on the expressway and usually I would hit 7k rpm on 95 to 100km/hr which vibrate but not as much as school's bike. But for cruising wise, I think if you're going at 70 to 80km/hr that's fine :)

Nowadays I've seen quite a number of people selling naked FZ16 (I don't know why), you can source around and give it a try. It's common for 2B bike to vibrate at 90-100km/hr. My suggestion, get an FZ16 and ride till you get your class 2 licence :D

Crap.... i was told by someone in FZ16 FB Group that FZ 16 Gen 3 = FZ ST. So i assumed that my FZ 16 FBG plate is Gen 2. Now i have a friend who told me that my bike is Gen 3, he said Gen 3 mudguard is longer and pillion handle bar different then Gen 2. Can someone confirm this ? This is my chassis no: ME145S094C2005709

Lol so i actually paid $300 desposit for Yohsi pipe coming in next month which is still not street legal for Gen 3. So if i use not street legal pipe, if kene caught whats the implications ?

@AzRekZek Gen 3 pillion bar is the black and one piece but the gen 2 is the silver bar pilion handle. And yoshi pipes is not legal for the fz16st only.

Maybe your clutch plates have worn out already.

Hi guys is there any places you could recommend to change fz16 clutch plates at a resonable price?
