have to get the metal type of koso which cost $70+ i tink..or rizoma mirrors $200-300..lost cry. u can also try puttin heavier bar ends or thicker handlebar or put handlebar brace which cost $10-$20

u can get a mech to fix e switch for ur lights

Hi Fredd,

Any recommendation for a mech (ideally in the east) to do a switch for the light? Actually, from a safety aspect, it is good to turn on the lights regardless. But from a maintenance perspective, turning on the head lights before cranking will likely cause pre-mature battery failure. "I may be wrong on this"

YenYu,

Sound and vibration when braking is usually caused by wrapped disk or uneven wear of brake pads. Not sure if your minor accident could have caused this.

why bother with the light switch....its mandatory by law to have the headlamp switched on even in the day for bike. i dont think the headlight will consume so much power that it will cause battery failure. dont regret on the day you got caught by TP for forgetting to switch on the head lamap and slam with a fine....its the same theory with tinted visor..... why risk it.......

You guys dont have sound or vibration when press the front brake? I've just went to HL to check, they mention that it's normal. -_-

But for my wheel sound they cant check for mi as i cant proof the sound out on the spot. But i've heard the sound like 3 times already from ytd nite, this morning and just now afternoon. Hope it's not a big problem, i dont see any scratch on the front fork area. Maybe during oil change i ask them to check for mi or wat. >_

sound when pressing front brake is normal as it depends on the type of compound of your brake pad, i am using EBC brake pad and its does give out a sound like hissing cobra.... but for vibration is not normal ......it should not vibrate unless your brake disc is dented or not aligned properly.

Oh, the vibration is onli when in stopping position. Not when moving and braking. The mech say is normal cos due to the brake clip on to the brake disc. I hope my fall off does not cause great impact to my bike >_

I doubt there will be case where ur batt is dead cause by the light. Now technology so high + improved. I dont think they will design until the batt cant even support small drain of lights. Else u cant even start or crank le. Maybe 2-3yrs down the road, then u might face it. If batt so fast die, then we can make a complain to the sole agent le. xD

Maybe the installation of hazard light would be a good idea!! :D

Hey yAll, how is it been going. Didn't expect this thread goin to be active. Out of town for a while to settle some issues, and surprisingly quite a number of PM to reply from this thread like YenYu, RideHard, Saibot and few others, asking bout my cosmetics. Will try My best to reply u all here and there :) . And yes YenYu nice looking tank cover there, looks exactly like mine except for the wordings, got mine at slightly cheaper price. Just to recap, handlebar can get at chongaik with promo price, and tyres at autobay. And yes Saibot thats my tyres setting, which able to have a few size bigger allowance, no prob. And quack31, u can get koso mirror from ahboy for $30, must bargain, and there's 2 types, plastic made and heavier made, get the heavier ones which I am using currently and it does not vibrate at all. Anyway many accessories can get from just across the causeway. And here's my ride, taken end of Feb, will update my pix as for up-to-date(Today) with many changes done, when I got back. NJoy ya ride :)

Wat red design? U mean the tribal gold lining for tank bra? Yes, you can request for any color. Like bro azzy, his one is gold too :).

Anyway, for mirror wise, dont get those koso mirror, unless u get those like bro azzy's one, with heavier made, else it will vibrate like nuts. It applies for mine too >_

Mebbe u guys shud do a meetup to go jb agl(ah gua lane aka bapok lane) to see e accessories over there and ask e mechs technical stuff abt ur bikes. Prices are definitely cheaper than in sg coz dey dun charge much for labour. After dat can slack at e coffeeshop. Could do tis on a wkend during daytime to familiarise wif e road coz e rd will be bumpy and alot of potholes.

Juz my 2cts :D
