Bro, The warranty is only for engine parts. Outlook damages/painting is not included in the warranty. I believe parts like handlebar,brake/clutch levers, tyres(Maybe), seats all this are not included as well. Rim spraying definitely wont affect the warranty. Not sure brake system is included or not. Maybe u can go down to HL to ask whether which parts are not covered. But from wat i know normally engine is covered in the warranty onli. :)

Oh! tat means they gave me the wrong info, now i can mod without any worries... thks alot bro.. =))

Haha, just call up Hong Leong and ask if there's other parts is in the warranty. Most likely they will mention that the engine is covered onli. Check with HL to double confirm. Haha, i might mi wrong, i'm not sure too... when i buy the bike, they said the engine is covered only. Haha.... Cosmetic wise, definitely not.

seems like the digital meter has too many probs.. wrong speed la, show petrol level wrongly la.. best way to test the meter is to ride at those expressway exits where they have this digital speed indicator showing ur vehicle speed.. coz my cars speedo is always same as the indicator..

Actually from wat i know, the speed meter definitely will have some misaccuracy. My last time experience, my bike is daelim and is using those normal needle meter, the different's is ard 10% or so. I tested with my friend in KPE Tunnel, I tried to keep my speed at 70km/hr, his aprilla digital meter is showing like 64,65 like that onli.... LOL... kinda pathetic. So the accuracy is not 100% one. Fuel Gauge, not so sure. I calculated my FC base on petrol pumped and distance travel, i get avg of 33-35km/l lol... Pretty okay man.. LMAO!

hey! just an enquiry...im getting a fz16 real soon. just need some advice regarding this machine. since there arent any 2nd hand fz16 in the market yet, i'll be gettin a 1st hand fz16. Which shop is the best to deal with(including after sales)? and how much would it cost?

Posted

@Motornoob, Bro, try asking around some shop before u make ur purchase. If u plan to buy at hong leong, then dont need to worry they will not con you as they are sole agent.

Just some break down of the price.

1)Machine Price : $4,609 (From Hong Leong)

2)IU+Paper work+Transfer fees : $250-300

3)COE : $2.5k(From 2nd bidding for March)

4)Insurance : ~$800-1,000 with TPFT ( Depending on age + p-plater or not)

As for now, base on $2.5k COE, the price of FZ16 OTR is ard 7.5k without insurance. Go ard shops to ask for quotes + freebies they give (No harm asking).

If u called up hong leong, they will quote u a price of 7.5k at 2.5k COE. Hope this helps :)

@Fredd bro, do u think msia bikeshop got those branded items like renthal/rizoma one? Haha.. Then can save abit money. Haha..

dey have..but fake one :D

FZ16 the meter is only abit off, its about 4~6km/hr off actual speed..

so hitting 120+ its quite not bad liao..

though its still not wat many rider wan/expect la... hahaha

all the bikes i rode has never been e same as the indicator on the expressway(like from cte to sle exit yishun speed indicator). most accurate would be by usin gps to get the most precise speed. bt usually most bikes are slower by 10km/h max..its a good thing actuali..so u wun kena caught for speedin wen e road is 70km/h n u ride 80km/h dat kinda thing :D

dats normal bro..even pulsars experience the same prob..mebbe its e indian technology i duno.

Is it belly pan? haha...

i oso duno wad he referrin to but i assume its the exhaust protector. hehehe

I think the going rate right now is probably around the $7.5k mark less insurance. I believe it will easily hit $8k if you add it in for 3rd party fire and theft.

As for used FZ16, I think it would be hard to come by. Since on this topic, I wonder how is the depreciation like for bikes in general especially after the COE hike by almost 1.5k in just last 3 months. Maybe bike owners might get back what they paid for 3 months ago especially for smaller cc bikes.

Just for info, the FZ is about 2-3 months OTR in SG only.

u may have an idea wat e market price wen u view ur online log card from LTA. Aft all FZ16 is like any other commuting cat.

Once someone told me say stock is best........so best if anyone claiming warranty from HL, revert and go back as stock.

All screws got marking(paint marker) at the engine area.

Huh... how does modding bracket affect the engine sia? I dont really believe HL can say this out to thier customer. Or rather as long as they change something means modded? abit ridiculous lei... Never touch engine mah... Liddat means handlebar all this also cannot change le..

Silder coming out from where? front fork, swingarm axle and where? engine there too?

Hmm.. maybe put on the left side of our bike is useful, but putting on the right side is abit no use at the moment la.. haha.. Cos i got a small accident before, and i drop towards the right side. Surprisingly, it was the endcan and right handlebar end protected other parts of my bike.

Well, i dont oblige saying puting frame slider is not useful, but how long and how far the sliders will be coming out?

Sorry, just wondering on the slider from the frame. Our endcan is too big and it can protect our bike ^^ Haha...

Hi just wanna check any bros here having problems wif their bike? For me when starting the bike early in the morning the bike's engine will always die even wif the choke on and restarting the engine again confirm got problem one..secondly anyone having problem when riding at low speed eg. 20-30km/h at 2nd gear coz my bike's engine tend to vibrate like it's gonna stall anytime and when i open up the throttle abit the bike will suddenly jerk forward like the fuel not flowing to the engine smoothly. Oh one thing how is it that some of u bros can get 70km/h at below 5000 rpm whereas for my bike 60+km/h at last gear already 6000rpm. Btw the bike is still running in currently at 290+km...Any feedback will be much appreciated thanks!

Is ur fuel knob turn to On? It should be pointing to the bottom vertically, not slunted. It's just below left side of ur seat.

With 30km/h, i'm at gear 3 already with no problem bro. I believe is, it's not enough fuel flowing through. As for gear 5 with 60-70km/h, my RPM is at 5-5.1/5.2k RPM already, u sure u are at last gear? Now i travel at 70-80km/h it's between 5-6k rpm. Ride down to HL yamaha or go back to ur mech and have a good check if u are uncertain. Maybe ur meter is spoil or wat.

Can we really fix in a 150 at the rear? I heard from unique motor de mech, they say 150 might hit the rear hugger.

@Azzy, bro any suggestion?

Yes bro possible, and safe. Bro Azzy is the rider, not the mech. If 150 will hit the hugger, then 140 won't be safe as well. Our tyres settings standard always have few steps allowance.

did you remove your user manual from under the seat? make sure nothing is blocking the air intake.

Firstly of all thanks for the replies...ok there's nothing under my seat besides the tool kit which is situated at the allocated spot...and yes fuel knob is turned fully to the on position...already at gear 5 with rpm at 6000 but speed only 60km/h...any help?

As drifting_mp3 mentioned, air intake could be a problem for yr bike problem, maybe something was stuck inside the filter which we never know. Try to open it up and clear the filter as well.

hey bro, if that's the case, i suggest u go over to HL to let them verify. Just tell them the situation and see how. I think it's meter problem bro.
