Hi Fellow Gen6 VFR riders,

Like to find out if the fast idle (auto enrichment fuel control) works in the day time?

Fast idle usually works when the ambient and coolant temperature is low. Fast idlling at 2000rpm is common until temperature gets up to near operating.

I am wondering if the fast idle to 2000 rpm will work in local condition, during the day when you first start the bike after several hours of non-usage?

I have observed that my 06 VFR does not go into fast idle, the start up rpm is around 1000 and it will settle to 1200+500rpm during riding.

Thanks

yes, it works.

Idling after startup is higher than normal @ 5 deg temperature.

At 5 deg? I guess 5 deg will never happen during our lifetime in Singapore.

I had a cbr929rr and the auto-enrichment (auto-choke) comes in and crank the engine to 2000rpm every time I start the bike after leaving it lying for more than 3 hours.

I know that for local weather, it is not really needed.
