Hi fellow riders,

Happy Lunar New Year to all!

Pardon me for seeking help over here. Hope you guys dont mind spending a few min to guide/advice me on my doubts. Here it goes.

I am looking for a bike with big storage so far I have heard multiple good recommendations on scooters that offers that factor. Purpose of storage is to keep my helmets n accessories.

Currently I have x8 and x9 on my mind but when I walk around carparks, I do see other big scoots such as SYM, Honda Silverwing. As only a 2B myself, I think Silverwing is out of my choice due to its big cc. I am new to this therefore my knowledge on the types of big scoots in the market is very very minimal.

I am hoping that fellow riders here could enlighten me what are the other types of scoots available with big storage like an x8. So far I have not seen any photos or anybody sharing exactly how big the storage is with the estimation of usual bike accessories like e.g. (it can fit maybe 2 FF helmets etc.) if any of the bro or sis riders out there care to share, please do.

Kindly do share about maintenance on big scoots too. This bike would be used for work so these 2 factors (storage and maintenance) are important for me. The scooter forum shares alot of knowledge on scooters like vespa and gilera n very little on big scoots. Please share your valuable knowledge with me or PM me if you want to.

for big scoots, x8, x9, gts 200 r the common ones. but x8 n x9 r all 2nd hand. n u need to b real lucky to get a non-defective one. n it can b very very expensive to repair. gts200, u can get 1st hand. costing abt 7k i tink. not sure if it can fit 2 FF, but definitely can fit 1 helmet n ur raincoat or bag. n u will still hv the top box for xtra storage.

for me, i chose sym excell II. small scoot, but with big storage.can fit 1 open face helmet n 2 sets of raincoat under the seat. very simple small bike. for me, the lesser equipments on the bike, the lesser it will cost to maintain.

U can find 2b big scooters easily in the market now. I'm currently riding gts 300i but the gts 200 is nicely built n spacious under the seat as well. The other alternative for a nice n spacious 2b scooter is daelim s3, it is nice too but abit ex, Otr 8.6k if I'm nt wrong.

The last recommendation from me will be kymco downtown 125i, ive not seen it personally but I think it's abt the same as downtown 300i (I mean the exterior). The price will be abit high as well for my knowledge.

For x8 n x9, sry but no offense to the riders. I personally think that it's not nice at all, yes it is big no doubt abt dat but I still prefer n think dat the curve n shape of the bikes dat I mention above is way nicer than x8 n x9

Hahaha.... i think you give a wrong comparison here... u can't compare those earlier model scooter against the latest version, definitely is look nicer for latest one... I do owned X8 before, for outlook is so so lah but for comfortable and storage wise.. i think most of the scooter may not have it....

Personal view for class 2B scooter... if you have budget let say 6-8k, of cos new scooter with nicer outlook you can easily get it. If you have low budget let say 2-3k, interest in scooter and wanna try it out... then can go for 2nd hand but option is quite limited... in this case, u have to consider the bike comfortable level, service and repair cost in priority.

If got $$$... anything can be done...

Let me summarise for you.

Good thing about the bike - storage

bad thing - repair cost. will cost hundreds .
