Suitable bike for two pax total 200kg

Hi everyone, not sure if I am asking in the correct place but kinda lost so need some opinions from experts here.

 

I got till class 2A, me n my gf both added up to ard 200kg. My 9yrs old phantom going to fail on me soon. So thought of over trade it, installments left $2500.

 

Asked ard not worth to repair coz it's major and left one yr of Coe.

 

Thought of getting a 2nd hand S4 but can't afford the downpay for new ones, spec 2/1.

 

Is there any wise one can enlighten me?

mebbe u can get a ver s or pb1 or those spec1 which renew coe 5 yrs..shud cost less than 4k. im not being rude or anytin, but if u cant afford to downpay an s4, wad more to maintain it. so if u r not financially stable yet to upgrade, best u stick to a 2b bike coz u save more on insurance n rd tax. alternatively, look for used bike in garage sale section n if u r patient n lucky enough..u will get a good bargain to juz coi.

Been offered to get ver R or S but considered the maintain for R / S if any "flu or cough"... Den it will be back to square one liked now.

 

Had an accident last yr from reckless driver n my S4 spec2 gone now but paying still n a TA200 dying soon so can't afford a new S4. My TA bought 2nd hand now need major repair n overhaul due to wear n tear. Calculated n not worth it.

 

Tot of getting a new CBX 250 or tiger 200 but doesn't know the price yet so asking ard now. Bike purposes just from A to B n A. Therefore seeking more advises what to get n reasonable.

I noe hw dat feels bro. I got into a far worse accident 2 years ago..even got onto wheelchair for a few mths. was riding an s4 also and at dat point of time decided to not ride. had to pay 8k back to shop for damages and penalty for returnin bike but wad to do. paid $350 every mth. luckily i won 50-50..so end up had to pay 4k which i recently settled.

 

no point gettin a new bike when u noe in ur heart u'll itch for a bigger bike. i noe how dat feels. i was riding a pulsar and in e end gave in to temptaion and bought a fazer1000! neva regretted. but if for transport, juz get a 2nd hand bike 1st like a cbf150 or even rxz. i have a neighbour whose riding a pulsar and their combined weight is more than u n ur partner. once u settled all ur debts den cn invest on ur preferred bike. for now..juz make do wif wateva u can. if u win 100-0 or even 70-30..can even buy ducati..hahaha

I won't get any claim coz TP can't get that car also so everything I got to pay myself. That car din stop also.

 

Actually I find phantom speed n maintain of that machine suitable for me, just that it's going to up the lorry soon n hand over it's log card Liao lol.

 

That's why tot getting a twister or tiger or other bike with decent power, easy to maintain. Dun dare get 2nd hand bike Liao, too "lucky" everytime.

For larger build people, usually shopping for bikes can be a bit of a pain in the ass...... literally.

My larger friends usually prefer scoots with good reason.

First and foremost, safety. Most cl2a scoots are low, which translate to lower center of gravity. Coupled with big seats, so the rider is well supported. This means better braking and manuverability especially in traffic.

Compare that to balancing 200kg on a tall bike......

 

The other consideration are of course customs such as shadow or steed. Problem with those are crappy pillion seats, if you seen the pillion seat of a shadow you know what i mean. But there are people who custome the pillion seat to be bigger, but that of course is at additional costs. The down side is wide bars on customs = another pain in the butt during heavy traffic.

Test the 150, the pickup cmi with me n my gf ya finally settled with 2nd hand shadow... Asked ard for new tiger n twister, both no more new ones... Cost abt 8k+ due to COE haiz
