Just to share with all how the chain lube looks after applying onto the chain.

*Pls take note the pics were taken before cleaning of chain and spocket [look at the 'grinding paste' on the inner plates of the chain and spocket] and after applying the chain lube after cleaning.

No riding was done after applying the chain lube as I was too tired after spending nearly 2 hrs to remove the 'grinding paste' caused by the previous chain lube i used.:cheeky:

I will continue to update this thread with pics of the chain lube on the chain and spocket after putting on some milage.

Ipone already sells a type of chain spray with teflon (PTFE)

Sand Chain. The teflon is supposed to keep sand and other particles from sticking to your chain. Has worked for me so far. Chain is still golden after 1 month of use, unlike previous chain sprays which makes it either black from road grime... or sperm white from wax.

They marketed by Division X, but available in some bike shops.

Got mine from Racewerks @ Alexandra Village

22 bucks if I remember correctly, for a really HUGE spray can.

Ya. It does not give the wet look like other oil based chain lube. If you read the instruction on the can carefully, it say goes in wet and dries out. If you have clean ur chain like wat you did after range during ur NS life, spray the lube onto your chain and let it dry completely. After that run ur figner across one of the chain plate and u feel the lube gives a waxy feeling like rubbing of candle on paper that type of waxy feel.

If you didnt do a complete chain clean like me [i didnt clean the front spocket], high chance u will see the 'grinding paste' beng forced out by chain lube. Look carefully and you will notcie a thin layer of the grind paste on my rear pocket teeth. :cheeky: I going to remove them during my next chain maintaince. Look at my rim and inner sides of my spocket and notice that its near zero fling of the chain lube. Tats amazing. :thumb:

Oh by the way, I have bring in second patch of the chain lube, This time round it consist of only 10 bottles of the mulit-use chain wax and 5 bottle of chain saver left over from the order for my friends. So you can choose whether to get another bottle of the multi use or the chain saver. This time will be slightly cheaper as my supplier give me a bit of discount. :cheeky:

OOOOhhhhh~ nice la!! haha.. would like to try out the chain saver and see the difference. hehe, and also now can buy one multi-use lube for my other friend too. so how much would one bottle of each cost?

Oh..i'm gonna change my front and rear sprocket plus chain. So from then on also can maintain it properly and use the lube properly too. Bye bye to previous owner's chain. Yea, i didnt clean front sprocket, so my rear one got a film of grind paste as you mentioned.

Haha.. ups for this product and ups for you bringing in this! :)

Too much fling? Then you must have been applying too much. Just spray sparely will do. What I do is depressed the nozzle abit and spray only at the inner side of the chain. Then turn the wheel and spray for about 2~3sec, thats all. Been using Maxima Chain lube all these while, never have fling issue unless I over spray. At the end of the day, those stick on the chain are those actually helping to lubricate the chain. Those flung out are excess. The only bad part is wax will sooner or later built up at the sprocket area. Hence me trying out teflon spray now.

Ya. I agree with Kinwei. A thin layer at one time with enough coverage beats a thick layer that fling and make cleaning a pain at the later part. No matter wat brand or type of chain lube we use, we must still clean our chain at regular interval to maintain a good chain life.

Without proper cleaning, dirt and dust collect and sticks onto the chain and spocket. Whatever we spray on the chain after that will just cause the old dirt to stick more and attract more new dirt to form a thicker layer of dirt.

Any chain lube that contain the needed active ingedient to lubricant and protect the o/x/z rings on the chain from its harsh working environment is considered a good chain lube. In fact before switching to dupont, I was using ATF to lube my chain.
