Pai say...

Motoworld in my opinion is definitely not cheap at all. Considering the price i pay for some of the items there is similar or sometimes even more than the price i can get it for from overseas with shipping included.

Service? i don't think their service is very gd either. Mabbe to regulars bah.

Sometimes you don't need to spend a bomb to replace your fused rear brake light bulbs so wad to do... go lab buy cheap bulbs... haha

Ultimately the price you pay should be justifiable by the quality as well as the level of service provided.

Bought this Diadora Avenue touring boots from Regina. Very high built quality compared to sigma, forma & sidi. About same price as Forma boots also.

Its got water proof & shin & heel armor protections. What makes me choose this is not just the price. The sole bottom threads is more rough unlike sidi or forma - which are flat & smooth. Might be better grip if I go waterfall climbing during one of my regular riding trips.

Planning to wear this for chinese new year, riding & climbing waterfalls & during heavy rain.

bro how abt the army goretex boots...cheap n good...i wore it so far so good...

bro, i'm a nsf now lar. So i wear my goretex boots daily to and fro camp. Its only soso during dry weather (no sliders and kevlar protection) but it certainly stinks during wet weather.

In the event of a rain, the front portion of the boots (which happens to be going head-on against the rain) are the laces. Thus it is in-evitable that there are gaps here and there. Whenever u ride through a puddle of water / pro-long riding in a drizzle / just normal riding in a storm its 110% percent that your boots will be soakin wet.

If you take a look closely on a decent pair of riding boots, their opening is always on the side of the feet. Usually on the inside of your boots (right boots, the opening will be facing the rear on the left side of ur feet and vice versa). This way, when u ride in a downpour you will stand a better chance of getting dry feet.

:cheer: :cheer:

If your budget allows, i would really advice you to stay away from using the army boots as riding boots. They really stinks man. i'm a NSF now, so i cant use my oxtar riding boots so i'm forced to use a pair booties to cover my army goretex boots in an event of a rain lols

Sorry if I offended anybody. What I meant is, "LAB and affiliates" continue to enjoy high volumes of business despite complains about its service because it price its products very competitively. Personally I don't buy anything there unless it is a product that is priced much higher elsewhere. For the low price, I don't expect good service so I don't complain about it either.

Motoworld has questionable service quality as well. I have been there a few times and I did not receive good service to justify the premium I paid over other stores. I probably won't go there unless I have to.

OK LET MI EXPLAIN

Well durability is up to individual ...

definetlty u gt 2 take care of it (apply leather care etc)

For mi i apply leather care almost very 4 to 5 days

and the leather care is equally cheap n easy to use spray wipe n forget

oso if u wear it everyday of course wear out fast lah

for mi when working i wear safety boots to work mostly

aft work then wear riding boots

mayb get 2 pair to change ard wif etc...

waterproof ...

hmm my personal experience

during dec 2006

rainy season sucks....!!!!

i was caught in a SUPER BIG RAIN

strong winds oso

kana rain fr MAH motor all the way to punggol

my underwear all soak

onli ting nt wet is my sock...

hw tat for waterproof

u dun need so water proof until 7 inch lah

as long rain can protect yr feet fr wet ok liao

Comfort

hmmm well it comfortable for mi...

i a 177cm guy wt ard 90kg+

well no issue for mi wif the boots

it take 2 to 3 times of wearing to season n all will b well

looks

if u like plain n simple

TIS IS THE BOOTS FOR U!!!

black plain n simple

grip

hmm well it did nt do tat well

mayb i slip a few time on very wet surface

hey even wear safety boots oso will slip ( work place require mi wear safety boots)

surface wif those green moulds those surface tat are wet n smooth will lah

other than tat i believe it grip...

most impt it nv fail the GRIP MI when on the road....:thumb:

$160.

...........................

Today when I went to Chong Aik, I saw a Sigma touring boots with steel toe cap & water proof - $100. Chong Aik seems to have many types of Sigma boots. But I was told the Sigma boots made in Pakistan. But I would have bought this steel toe cap boots if I knew about it earlier - coz can wear at work & walking & riding.

But I doubt the grip is as good as my Diadora, if you wish to ride to Mt Ophir & wear the boots to climb up to the waterfall etc. ( I am planning to do that)
