Hi All,

i'm a newbie here. like to ask on the precedures of buying a 2nd hand bike.

After the agreement between the seller and myself, where do we go after that?

go to motor shop to sign agreement? where to buy insurance? buy from motor shop or from NTUC or Mitsu itself?

Thanks for the help.

regards,

Tan

Bro,

Depends if u getting from shop / Direct owner.

Direct owner once details / agreements finalised go LTA do transfer but before that

you need get insurance done first. you can settle the insurance on your own. ( NTUC or Mitsu)

If get from shop the shop will settle most things for you.

once you agree on the price & everything...ask for a copy of the log card from the seller...

go to an insurance company & get it done. bring the log card along...they need to see it..

then go to sin ming 2nd floor to transfer....fill up the form and wait for your number to be called...both seller & buyer should be there...

you will need the insurance letter to transfer the ownership....

pay the transfer fee & its done.

if the seller's bike is still under installments..he has to clear it about 2 days before going to LTA...or not the bike will be reflected as "still under hire purchase" scheme..

no vehicle still under the hire purchase scheme will be allowed to transfer..

but if you think all these is too much hassle...get the bike shop that the seller bought from to do it for you..it will cost some money though..
