Sian to find stuff inside box getting wet when it rains. Changed the rubber seal around the rim of the top box already. Still leaks.

What do you all do to get around this matter?

Is there such thing as a box cover? Kind of like a waterproof bike cover, but just for the box only. A Bike cover is abit bulky to store and carry around, and I don't mind my bike getting wet in the rain.

possible to say what brand & model of the box?

does the box hv any add-ons, i.e. top box rack or pillion back rest pad or brake lights linkage?

as these add-ons need to be screwed on or hv a open hole, thus may the screw points & open hole for wiring are the weak link.

if not, check the box if there's any mini cracks or holes that's seeping in water.

hope these helps..

It's a coocase 36. There's a brake light, but that attaches to the base of the box. Don't think that's the source of the leak.

Just wondering, is it common for boxes to leak?

not that I know of for top boxes. unless there's add-ons involved.

u say the brake light attaches below, meaning its those machiam Givi contact type or need wires to join the female-male connectors type?

if it is the contact type, I guess u hv to use a bright torch & slowly trace the culprit, maybe hinge points, hairline cracks or pin sized holes.
