Why change the batt to 12v when the parts are designed to run on 6v?!

Best is to change back to 6v batt and if you want to, change to a higher amp coil if you got funny stuff like lights and a radio on your bike.

It's your damn bike, wash it yourself! You rinse your own mouth after you eat, don't you?

only rear light always blow could be wiring problem, some wire manage to cross/short themself, causing the bulb to blow.

Accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

However ask yourself, do you want to fall at 120km/h or 60km/h?

Or sometimes changed to wrong bulb. Happened to my meter bulbs. I always changed to 3V ones then will always blow. And the meter also very hot. In the end, found out and changed to the standard 1.7v ones. Not as bright but never blow or hot.

Obviously you guys do not know that it is quite a common mod on RXKs and many have done it and succeeded, hence the unnecessary comments. Maybe TS "really wanted" to install LED lights and a 'Radio' that most if not all, runs on 12V, hence the change from 6v-12v.

2 pence from Rxk ex-owner.

TS: Didn't the shop do the "whole package" for you? You would need the 12V rectifier.

hi, just to share my journey how my rxk is coverted to 12v.

1. Change battery, bulbs & signal condenser - head light dont seen bright n battery feel weak!!!

2. Change the entire head light assembly that use the same bulb as RXZ - still dont look bright..

3. Change 12V rectifier - charging improved n battery feel stronger now but head light still dont seen bright enough

4. Change lighting coil - head light is bright but dont last long (always blow!!!!) and spoilt my 12V IU.....very sad...

5. Remove 12V rectifier & stock regulator & install RXZ rectifier/regulator --- head light is bright, feel the bike is more powerful now...

After few weeks....... ignition coil spoilt.....after few weeks charging coil spoilt......

6 months till today nothing go wrong anymore.....

Very expensive experience.......hope u can learn somethings from what i hv go through.
