Dear all

I'm interesting in pursuing racing on tracks. I'm riding an R1 07 model (with leovince full-sytem) and there's certain things that I need to know and prepare before I can go to track. Please do advice.

Thanks.

I suggest you call SMSA and speak to Peter if you are planning to race. However if you are looking to hit the circuit....Welcome aboard! If you ride a street bike...its simple...ride up to the circuit. Lots of good info on this board.

I think TS is asking about going to track and not necessarily making a career move.

1) get yourself some protective gear. Suit, boots, gloves, backprotector. (BTW i have a used suit for sale :) )

2) get yr bike checked out, ensure no leaks anywhere. Brakes and tyres in good reasonable condition. You don't necessarily need top shelf rubber but at least they should be in good condition and reasonably fresh.

3) plan when you would like to go and get enough rest.

Then just go.

There are folks here which do regular trips to PG or Sepang. Join up with them or u can go PG by yrself. Weekdays will be best for newbies at PG. Don't join some open track day on weekends as your first outing.

Hope this helps u get started. Ride safe, and take it easy :) "F" should be capital on Fun, not fast.
