Bros, send my BB for valve clearance ... What do i look out for if they really do the valve clearance?

 

Bro... just pray hard that your mech doing a good job for you.

 

Just wanna share with you my experience... I done mine like 8mths ago.... till last few days I went to install grounding wires for my bike and only found out that the shop I sent my bike to... they didn't do a good job cos the oil is sipping out from the block head gasket. A top servicing done for our old bikes, this kinda sipping or leaking will happen and acceptable if is like about nearly 2 year but mine just only 8 months and this **** happened...

 

This kinda stuff you can't notice it when collecting the bike cos its already covered up by the fairings, only when you really blast your bird and it will start leaking or sipping out here and there.

 

By the way which shop you sending to bro?

Your kind expertise and knowledge is needed to advise me.

 

I tried blasting to 200km/h and my FI light blinked up but when I off and start the ignition again its goes off as normal. I notice that if I ride normal like 130km/h its fine... only when blasting at high speed the FI light will lighted up. Please advise...

I tried blasting to 200km/h and my FI light blinked up but when I off and start the ignition again its goes off as normal. I notice that if I ride normal like 130km/h its fine... only when blasting at high speed the FI light will lighted up. Please advise...

 

how many time it blink...

there should be a certain num of times so that it indicate what problem the bike have...

Sorry guys... I won't be able to join in for friday or saturday all in 1 ride, as my birdie is in HKL now...

They agree to replace all the O rings and gaskets for me regards to all those leaking areas.

Bike will only be done by Saturday if possible.

So bro will there be difference in riding wise? Coz mine vibrates badly n alot of carbon....

Anyway how many pts grounding did u do? Mine was done by sanfu 2 pts but no diff....

Mech from UM did 6 points contacts grounding for my bike. Mine actually the Pivot Raizin Voltage Stabilizer, used to be for my car but I took it out before selling it off. Now just install on the bike... this stuff more into electrical system bro... very less much you can feel the performance difference. If you have a Volt meter then you will be able to see the before and after difference...

Bro... after the valve clearance which i did... my bike seems like more powerful compare to before, quieter and smoother...

hmmm... your voltage go as low to 9V??? seems like its time to change your battery bro...

i don know abt u guys but when everytime my bike goes for top overhaul or valve clearance,i never leave my bike unattended.I would normally be there physically to see what they are doing,like shimming and other complicated stuff.Always ask them what this for and wat does it do.Try learning from them,ask question,symptom failure at least u'll noe wats going on.if they ask u to go drink kopi den come back,80% ur bike anyhow do.Learning from other website also does help.

 

 

Jimmy,so how?......2T got top -up or not????

Hantam 180~200,2T valve activated indicating 2T starvation....wakakakakakakakaka.

 

 

In order to check blink-blink,

1st sign of Fi light appearing:-

 

1)Move to the side of the road,

2)Put gears to neutral(Do Not OFF the engine)

3)Kick down the side stand and wait for 5 sec)

4)Kick up the side stand and look for the Fi light indicator.

5)Count the blinks-(long blinks = are in tens,short blink= are in ones)

 

 

Diagnostic i've seen.

1)25 blinks-seems like most of us had it.

2) Our old bird Wallaby(now on Busa) - TPS(throttle position sensor)

3) Penyu - faulty injector(forget how many blinks)

 

 

Carb bike don't have symptom like us coz they are not Fi.

My orgasm starts at 299km/h.....

Personal ride -

1st ride - TRZ 125

Looks like ur rectifiers gonna fry. Remove ur seat and take a look at it.If the rec smells like rotten egg,u better have it change.Most common sign of failing rec is burnt marks at the connector area.I've understood that most carbie bike uses Suzuki/yamaha rectifier as they are more stable and can take more input current,mebbe u can ask ur mech to do 1 for you.

Yup U would need to have a voltmeter to get a better feel...

So how does grounding work... how does a voltage stabilizer work (regardless of brands)

Let start with grounding...

Grounding work well esp with old bikes....

What it does in simple terms is to pull back all the "loose currents" back to the negative terminal of the battery thus your coil need not work so hard to charge back the lost energy...

A voltage stabilizer work as the name depicts stabilizer the voltage...

the capitators are doing all the works...

Over in Japan, the jap are using this to stabilise their big generators (of course their stabilizer are much bigger)

then they scale down to be used on motor vehicles....

 

There are so many brands of voltage stabilizer out there....

take your pick mate....

I always believe in feeling the initial difference once install....

I did grounding to my old harley & there is really a siginifiance diff...

maybe just need to find the proficient mech to do it.... (I can rec if U want & that guy is very popular over in the car scene)

If the probs still persist,looks like u have a near condemn coil.I have a 99 bb coil n rec.if u wan it sell u cheap cheap.Bought from a fellow forumer who used to ride bb but its a 99 model whereas mine is 02.The coil is used but still in gd condition.Rec is new.

 

Both going for $150/- (bradder bradder pricing....:)

Wah Bro Jimmy, 130km/h normal riding huh? or is it 130mph....(joking huh!!)

 

Cant comment on the Blink Blink part coz my bike is a carb model. So far so good since I did a top overhaul and change my pump hoses 3yrs back. Fuel consumption oso not bad. Can get 300km full tank wiz full system... Of coz comes wiz throttle control and 'passenger sensor'..... lol

so far i have no problem with my charging system but i get what u mean...

I still waiting for my dear mech to troubleshoot what went wrong wif my bird...

The coil n rec is for 99 fi model,have to check on webby if can fit lor...:)

Anyway got my oil cooler today,fixing are PITA. Tomorrow try to fix fairing,lecehla the inner panel near the rad side.damn siong ah

Whitesugar46 bro... as you know... I'm actually a very well discipline rider...

until one fine day I got to know those BB Pioneers from Evans Road and from there onwards... I'm Poisoned!!!

 

Can you imagine that a newbie follow them on the first time ride and I eventually have to break my wrist in order to catch up with them, or else I will be thrown behind... :(

 

Wakakaka.... I totally agreed with that passenger sensor.... its sure does play a part but also rather stable when doing a corner... :)
