Mine was spoilt a few months right after the 5 year warranty ended!:cry::cry: Had to pay $100++ for something that will eat more money from my pocket...

It sucks huh? I heard the slim IU lifespan is even shorter than the fat one.

And mine is water mark, I wonder shouldn't a bike IU be waterproof? How to prevent water from not going in. Zzzzzzzz

Yea the new (slim) IU is very weird. Heavy rain no problem, but when i wash bike, water go in. Funny right?

There will be an error and a red light, but what i usually do is to remove the fuse for one day, tmr morning before start bike just put back the fuse, no more error and IU works normally again. Maybe u all can try this also.

You can try bikeshops and ask them for personal warranty. If you would like to save.

my original slim iu got cracked and i think water went it and it stopped working. i went to ask a few bike shops if they got second hand iu. found one and went to vicom to register it. much better than paying $150+ for a new one. pay money to pay money. bloody hell.

Don't be daft. Vote for change.
