I think FC is a very subjective topic. It really depends on individual's riding style. I can go abt 26km to 27km per litre, I can also go as low as 23km per litre. It all depends...

Hiya,

Thought I'd add something so you don't have to download 30 pages of jpg's.

http://www.symscooters.co.uk/dload/om_joyride.pdf

(sb_biker's link to the manual Taiwanese Website is dead btw)

Now, having contributed something, I need to ask something. That manual does not have any details on how to access/change the belt and rollers.

I'm reasonably proficient at doing all my own work (other bikes, this SYM Joyrider 150 is a friend's) but I need a little help / pointers to where and what and tips and some pics if possible.

There are "some" details on changing it here, which observes it is applicable to a Joyrider 150, amongst others.

Cheers

I am in Melbourne Australia and the GTS 250 has just been released here as the “Bolwell Firenze”. This is the only active forum I can find on the GTS 250 so hopefully you may be able to help me.

The Bolwell Firenze is the same as the GTS Voyager 250 specified on the Sym Taiwanese website. The only change is that I believe that the fog lights do not conform to Australian Design Rules so there is a little black patch over the switch. My patch “fell off” and I discovered the switch and the fog lights work perfectly!

I am still on my first tank of petrol and have done 270km with one bar left before the reserve bar. I expect I will get over 300km before the reserve starts flashing.

I have read all 61 pages of this topic with great interest and especially note that you now have some accessories for the GTS 200/250. Has anyone come out with a taller windscreen for the 200/250 as yet? I find that mine is just a bit too low and I get buffeting around my helmet. I have looked at a generic “laminar lip” from the US but it requires the screen to be only curved in one dimension. However, the GTS screen is curved around and also curves up at the top. Unfortunately, I don’t think the generic laminar lip will fit but I will investigate if one can be made locally here to fit the existing screen.

What is the brand and model of alarm that some of you have fitted to your scooters? I am hoping that I may be able to buy a suitable alarm in Australia and have it fitted.

My one disappointment is that the indicator flashers are not audible on the GTS 250. The other Sym models such as the Joyride have excellent audible indicators so I am surprised that the GTS doesn’t. Has anyone tried to replace the flasher can with an audible one or add a buzzer?

And finally a question for Kenny Seaw – can you ship accessories such as the foot rests to Australia?

Thanks

Hi,

I'm a newbie to this forum. I've recently been transferred from US to SG. I was looking around for a scooter recently when I saw the GTS at Mah, it really stands out even being next to an Atlantic and Sportcity.

I got a quote of 6.7K OTR with goodies(bag, helmet, raincoat & cover) for the 200 and 7.9K OTR for the 250(goodies included as well).

Just wondering if that's a good price or should I just wait for the roadshow.

I have time on my hand as I need to convert my license anyway.

Any advice is much appreciated..

P/S: This will be my first scooter. At first I wasn't sure about getting one but after reading the threads on this forum, you guys convinced me...

If you really want a GTS, go for the 250 if you've Class 2A, price is quite good based on what you've posted...
