Any one interested in a REAL GTS meeting. This thread has alot of members but everytime there is only a few kittens coming out for a meet.. Here i will organise another outing. Hope this time round the people attending will have a much higher pecentage..

 

Date : 19th Nov

 

Venue : KKFC/Ride out gardens(Mac)

Hi all ..

 

previously, my bike has this "clung clung" sound when i move off .. my bike shop told me it's some screw loose at e exhaust area.

 

nw it came back again .. gonna bring it back for them to check. anyone has tis problem?

 

i oso realise that when my bike hits >6.5 RPM, i oways get tis irritating squeaking sound. anyone noes why?

 

hw hard do u guys adjust e suspension? when i go over humps at slow speed, i can feel like e whole bike hit e ground so hard .. kinda worried abt e exhaust. :giddy:

Hi there! The clung clung sound is generated from the breaks, to confirm, you park the bike on main stand n roll the wheel. you will hear the sound. Most of our bike will have this sound as our breaks are have more brass content in it. Thus the breaking system is more powerful. Cos that means the disc will also wear off more quickly.

 

As for the suspension, did you check your tyre pressure?? It can be the cause of insufficient pressure.

 

As for the squeak sound, never heard of that, better send to workshop to check cos got warrenty.

Brake ???? wolverlne does ur clung clung sound only comes when u apply brake ?? i don think brake will cause clung clung sound :confused:

 

squeak sound - Park main stand squeeze throttle till u hear the sound, then see from left or right then slowly trace where exactly it came from. So we can help better if we know :smile:

 

Normally scooter will hav alot of cling clung sound but when the sound gets abnormal then maybe it's something wrong like wear tear parts getting loose (eg.belt) or something is loose (eg.nuts, plastic parts rattleling)

I had the same problem wif u previously... i went to bike shop n they help to me remove the fallen things in the exhaust n then no more sound when moving.... and u shd check ur back brake pad isit worn off liao....

e clung clung sound came when im on e road. i realise a screw from e exhaust fell off .. nw tat they fix it back .. no more sound.

 

nt sure wat they did to e squeaking sound .. seems like gone. i will try to park on main stand n throttle if the sound came back again.

 

brake pad worn off? hmm i juz got tis bike for less than a month woh.

 

hw does e bike sound when belt loosen hee.

hi wolve bro...where did you bought your GTS from?

 

I have experienced one of my GTS customers having the same problem.

Its the screw on the exhaust coming loose and eventually dropped off.

Existing Mah Pte GTS customers who faced this problem, please come back to Mah Pte and have it retified ;)

i got mine from southern. tis is e 2nd time it happened liao .. think next time i gotta check it frequently to ensure it wont drop again!

Need to decide early cannot afford last minute changes again. Need to sign off consent form one somemore (my very diff to signoff leh :giddy: ).
