Hi ppl, im a newbie in the forum. juz recently bought the new GSR750 2013. have stopped riding for almost 10 yrs now but i used to do track days on my ZX6R. though its not a sports bike, im planning to use this bike for some leisure riding n relak track days. but the suspension on this bike is not exactly wat u call good, only can adjust preload. for now no intention to change the forks till i try it out on the track. shld be ok if i dun push too hard. most of my riding kakis already stopped riding, hope to know some new kakis here. Anybody done track days on this bike? or any advise for me? thanks

I dun go track. I do feel the front suspension too soft. Already 2 years for mine and changed to a heavier weight Fork Oil. Now its better at stopping and cornering.

Anyway can just join the 'regular' meetups. Its with the GSR400/600 people. Most of the 750cc dunno go where already hahaha.

actually i dun think the front suspension is in anyway soft.. i think both the front n rear shocks r kinda stiff.. not too good for track days.. may cause low side when blasting out corners....but i must say street riding its a good bike.. very good low end n mid range power.

anyway hope to meet more riders n hang out

Depends on how you ride the bike. There are also other factors that may determine the FC. Some mods may and may not help to improve your FC. Wrist control is another. Do you 'gun' your throttle, smooth and slow turning of throttle does help. Fast acceleration = more petrol. Distance of travel also plays apart, the longer the distance travel with the least traffic light does increase the FC. Many stops means more petrol used up as need more petrol to accelerate.

My scenario,

- change gear around 4k to 4.5k rpm most of the time.

- get to 6th gear as soon as possible.

- average speed around 90km/h.

- distance travel daily 50km (to and fro work - Bedok to Clementi to Bedok). Jam environment on the expressway.

- On a very good day can clock 23km/l, on a very bad day 20km/l.

Only on NSH....coz speeding above 150km/h will I get around 19km/l. Hope that helps.

4k rpm accelerate quite slow leh. u ride like that no wonder can get so good FC. i get between 18-20km/l

Hi Guys,

does anyone know whether ASphoon bring in the gsr750?

In short, I don't think so. They support Honda and Yamaha. By saying that, I bought mine via A S Phoon. Hehehhe. You will need to speak to them and see if they are willing to do it. I went to A S Phoon Changi Branch.

sport bike to gsr750 is not much of a downgrade. GSR750 also quite fast
