so confirm jus ask the mech to tune my carb can liao? cos dun wan go there den noob noob give them chop say this and tat spoil etc

 

I wont say juz tune the carb can liao..1st of all ur problem is juz a cold starting issue which dun really seem like a problem to me at all as long as the bike still starts.

 

Having problems with cold start is pretty general n especially when ur bike is rather new I dun see much possibilty wif faulty parts other than a mess up carb settings, or perhaps your auto choke playing pank and maybe a week batt or weak firing.

 

There r many ways to troubleshoot the many possibilities but if ur idling n your normal running is fine, then I guess ur carb setting might again not be an issue.

 

Please treat my comments as a suggestion instead of a solution... I am just another bike owner not some professional mech who will be able to know tell ur bike problem by reading a few words over the internet n end up having u spending some $$ n not getting ur problem solve by following my suggestion

 

Juz a question...is your bike 100% orginal..meaning to say u do not have mods like open pod filters n aftmkt exhuast n stuff like dat??

Haha. Well i guess a phantom does have a cheaper mantainance and perhaps a better fuel consumption. It's my dream to own a gilera runner for class 2b. Thanks mohgui!

guys my bike's handlebar shake a lot when going slow at around

40km/hr like tat...

ride with one hand and it shakes...

wat culd b the prob?

should a bigger and heavier balancer solve the prob?

anyway i saw those older version runner without airbox and no open pod at all... can meh?

no air filter can...more dust, dirt, stone, leaves, water n watever goes into the carb faster = damage damage damage.

check ur steerting cone bearings n rear engine mounting for a start...if the rear mounting is over tighten the handle bar virbrates alot.

if my bike were to leave 3 4 days untouch, comfirm maximum 3 times then can start. but must throttle abit..

no lah...usually after 6mths there might be some uneven wear n tear sometimes...but for runner we do not go dat fast to let this uneven wear n tear affect us dat much

depend on riding style bah,6 mth above u just need to take feel by riding then u will know it is still alright anot.

thanks guys for all those advices...

i juz skidded and had an accident yesterday night...

tried to corner a sharp bend near nanhua sec and hit the stones near the side..

my handlebar wobble badly and i lose control of the bike...

now i have lots of bruises and my bike really jia lat... haiz...

later going to kallang to see my bike... haiz...

i had an accident while cornereing a few wks ago too.. the question is that now my bike like very sensitive to bumps n cracks on the roads unlike before.. like she scared of the road after she fell down.. but when we accident, i didnt let go off her, therefore absorbing most of the injuries, bike injury only scratched balancer n mirror n abit on the transmission cover.. wat wld the problem b? anyone knows?
