Thks bro for the infos! Mmmm.... a little confusing here.... did asked ASP n the guy claimed tat the new bike's from BS. I suppose tat will b the JDM model. PIs like Loois and Mah could be getting the Euros?

I've oso heard of BP offering quite a gd deal on their bikes as a couple of my frenz gotten theirs from there.

+ Mah & BP said their SW are from BS

+ Looi's don't bring in PI but get their SW from BS (confirmed with Ah Lee few weeks ago)

+ BS brings in only FJS400 Euro (confirmed with Andrew last week coz was there to check bike & collect warranty card)

= Euro FJS400

personally, i went many places before narrowing down to either Looi's or BP; Bt Merah (NS, FM, IM), Serangn (BP, ASP, Mah, CA), KK Bt (Looi's).

... BP quoted best price but i was very annoyed with the add this add that surprises; maybe also my fault for not being crystal clear before Ah Swee make quote, or maybe he's not happy with me coz i initially wanted to buy a new Deauville NT700 (with loan) but later change to the cheaper SW (no loan)

... Looi's quoted more expensive but hassle free OTR price

... Mah gotta wait for new stock to come in at that time

if price is a main concern, suggest don't skip BP... but remember to get a final price coz their OTR is not the same as others' OTR :p "compare apple to apple" e.g. BP's OTR don't include IU, give only 3P insurance while Looi's got IU and gives 3PFT

I'm sure you'll like a pleasent deal when collecting your new ride.

When I collected mine from Loois, rode in my old machine & rode out my new SW in less den 15 mins. Pleasent

me too, had a pleasant dealing with Looi's... one OTR price, no more no less no surprises.

passed them cheque for agreed OTR price, check bike and ride off a satisfied customer :thumb:

just wanna share too.... my homework recently for my SW project.....

ASP Changi $12800 OTR w/o Insurance with Box 08 model

Looi's $12500 OTR with Insrance w/o Box 07 model (Black and Silver avail)

Anyone with new info can add here for us all to compare instead of making lots of calls?

ASP Changi $12800 OTR w/o Insurance with Box 08 model

Looi's $12500 OTR with Insrance w/o Box 07 model (Black and Silver avail)

assuming 3PFT insurance cost about $500, and top box costs $150:

ASP's price $12,800 + $600 = $13,300

Looi's price $12,500 + $150 = $12,650

... $650 difference

would you pay additional $650 to get an 08 model instead of 07 model, both of which are the same other than year or manufacture (according to BS)? its a matter of personal preference :cheeky:

Anyway, I've more or less secured the deal with Looi's today. Initially juz wanted to check out the price but after a quick run thru of thoughts and breakdown of OTR price by Mr Lee, I've decided to close the deal wif them at 12.8k. Should be collecting my new ride nex or the week after. :thumb:

Advisable not to over rpm 5 (90km/h) for 1st 500km. *But must vary your speed, ie. accelerate and decelerate. Don't stay at same speed too long.

After that, just ride normally with smooth pickup and don't whack the rpm.

Bike will feel silky smooth after abt 2000km of running in.

I kiasu a bit in my servicing:

100km = engine oil and oil filter change

500km = engine oil, oil filter and gear oil change

1000km = engine oil and oil filter change

2000km = engine oil, oil filter, gear oil and spark plug change.

Run in done.

Malaysia raises petrol prices by 40%.

Malaysia's petrol price will rise 40 percent to 2.70 ringgit a litre from Thursday.

http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/afp_asiapacific_business/view/351883/1/.html

Malaysia plans petrol price hike in August

http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/afp_asiapacific/view/351505/1/.html

Haizzzz, the news just does not get any better. petrol price raised from tonight midnight to RM2.70 and then come August, might be raised to RM$4. In such case, it would be $1.70 assuming exchange rate of $2.33.

No longer make sense to go there to pump already since we are getting about $1.96 with discount from the petrol station and credit card combine.

Saving of 0.26 cents per litres vs jam .....

* change eo at 1k kms, then 12k kms

i changed eo & filter at 3k kms, haven't decided when is next change coz heard that maxima maxum4 fully syn eo can last for at least 5k kms under normal usage :thumb:

Malaysia raises petrol prices by 40% is very true. Just return from my last RM1.92/liter = S$0.82/liter petrol @ GP Esso. After 12 midnight, they have change the prices to;

Blue (Regular) - RM2.621/liter = S$1.12/liter

Purple (F1) - RM2.704/liter = S$1.16/liter

Sure still worth it one. Your tank 16 liters leh.... In Singapore, petrol octane 95 is about S$2.20. After 12% discount also about S$1.936++ per liter. But in Malaysia after the rise of petrol to S$1.12 per liter, lets co a calculation, Eg;

on a 16 liter tank

Base on Octane 95 in Singapore SPC, S$2.20 * 16 liters = S$35.20. After 12% discount will be S$30.976

Base on Mobil F1 in Malaysia, RM2.704 * 16 liter4s = RM43.264 = S$18.568 (Base on exchange rate of S$1 = RM2.33)

Thats a total savings of abt S$12.408 = 12 loaves of bread = 41 packets of tissues... hahahahahahahaha..........

If u got smoke, eat or shop, then you'll save even more. So ultimately going touring in Malaysia is still cheap and worth it.

agree with the eat, smoke or shop part... but savings in petrol not so much lah :D

not forgetting that:

~ unlikely to pump 16L coz need petrol to get there mah, push luck a bit to pump 15L would be more likely... savings reduced by a little bit :p

~ need to deduct petrol cost of traveling to/fro JB, higher cost if you live further away from causeway... savings reduced by a small bit :p

~ need to deduct toll charges if go in via 2nd link (S$1.40 + RM3.20)... savings reduced by a bigger bit (approx S$2.80) :p

ya i agree with you:angel:

for me my set up cost is like 2.8dollars for toll and 3litre of petrol which is around 3.30dollars assuming is 1.10dollars per litre.

total 6.10dollars.

meaning if i go JB and pump every litre i save around 80cent.

if i pump 10litre i save 8dollars minus 6.10dollars.

total saving 1.90dollars:cry:

so sad!

think i will reduce the trip already..
