I find the Feelfree quite ok leh. Smooth ride and 'softer' becos can't really feel the bumps of the road (unlike the IRC). *I didn't change any setting to the suspension or tire pressure.

Anyway, my mech says it should be a steering cone and alignment problem:

1. Handle Bar - right side tilted nearer to me.

2. Steering is too stiff.

3. When the front is lifted up, the handle sways to the left even if you turn it to the extreme right.

He suspect I could have hit something hard... hmm... I might have:

1. Went off-road during a plantation ride... hehe.

2. Hit a very deep hole during last month genting trip and almost flew off the bike.

Well, my sw needs to take MC for a day or 2. : )

i think your bike should be the same batch as my..

aligiment slightly toward right..

when back to BS KPKP..then they fix for me.

does "HISS" need to reactivate everytime ?

mine keep goes off after ride and need to enable again.

is that normal?

This is normal. You got to set it everytime you want.

your steering cone might be a bit loose. or maybe some wirings in your bike's head might be touching the upper fork or handle bar. thus pushing it to the left.

what you manually activate is just the blinker, HISS is on even when light doesn't blink ... stated in owner's manual :shades:

i will give this thread link to Honda Japan. and cc to boon siew and one of the local media.

Guys ! Guys ! Gals ! I was watching this thread to see where it would go. The steering out of alignment problem is not new and has been experienced by so many bikers on various bikes. All you need to do is either have badly worn or wrongly inflated tyres (tubeless) and couple this with a topple over or going over some hard bump and PRESTO misalignment appears.

The steering bearing is not the MAIN culprit - but if you want longivity then change to CERAMIC Balls and full Ceramic bearings on the wheels - only cost you about S$2K plus.

The main culprit is the TRIPLE CLAMP system holding the forks to the frame - They are designed to 'GIVE' in a fall over or light accident to absorb shocks. Otherwise if too rigid the Clamp will fracture and/or the frame/fork stanchions bend. THe cost to repair then spirals !!!

What you or your mechanic need to do is loosen the front axle and all holding bolts on the triple clamp and re-align the front wheel run out to that of the rear wheel. Using a tight string as a guide from a point behind the bike to one corressponding to the same side on the front. A properly set up workshop would have a ground level set of wheel clamps that hold wheels in alignment. So far have not seen any in Singapore except at Vehicle Inspection centres where it is one of the tests they do on the bikes at annual inspections.

So please dont blame the manufacturers / agents / dealers unless you know exactly why and how the alignment goes off.

Lastly after the adjustments are complete (provided you have good condition & correct tyres) the tightening process has to be done in proper sequence and to the correct torque !! Please refer to a Good workshop manual.

SWingers, I went down to BS and did my first servicing. Gave them feedbacks of many SWingers have problems with the crooked handlebar or have an alignment problems, they suggested me to give them the plate numbers of SWingers here are facing the same issue. Boon Siew is going to do some surveys before submitting a report to Honda Japan. At the same time, they would ask the SWingers who do the servicing about the crooked handlebar also.

Please kindly PM me your bike number and I will email them before 0001hrs of 30th October 2008. After they received the plate numbers, some of you might be called up to do an inspection at their site to assist them gather their findings so we can have the problems rectified.

did you check your exhaust??

actually there is nothing much they can do.

because there is a safety pin on the cone that prevent the adjustment of the handbar.

My wing had problem starting this evening.

Crank for a long time before managing to start the engine.

Thought batt was dead, went to workshop to change to cheapo after market batt=$60

Mechanics checked my charging system and realized that batt was charging at 12.56V plus plus instead of normal 13V plus plus. Hmmmmm........ o_O

Diagnosed my prob as magnetic coil prob.

Will cost $220 to change coil, anyone know anywhere cheaper? :giddy:

Can PM me to share? keke

Spoke to Bro Scoobydoo on the phone for more info too

Thanks for your time Scoobydoo :thumb:
