Silverwing got PPL install those Dr pulley or those pollini clutch etc to improved its performance?

Not many ppl using Dr Pully. Heard no good for the variator.

I think the clutch bell will give up 1st. Saw a few SW with the bell spoilt, aka changed colour and internal surface very rough. Wonder what causes it?

If you encounter frequent clutch slip, then might want to invest in a set of after-market clutch and clutch bell. But hor, regular maintenance should be ok bah.

Anybody ever tried to figure how to lock the handbrake lever (immobilise it from moving)?

i use the disc lock alarm (LAB $25) for the front and a thick motorcycle lock (mustafa $12+) ... economical and serves the purpose

front http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=55078&stc=1&thumb=1&d=1205243728

rear (this type but not this one) http://www.getgeared.co.uk/core/media/media.nl?id=1744&c=731612&h=63b2227513e6a556f696

The idea behind all of this is not to make your bike "un-steal-able" … that will never happen. The idea is to make your motorcycle a very unappealing target, one that will take too much time, require too many tools, or make too much noise to steal easily. In short, one that the thief would rather not mess with.

If you can find a padlock with just the right length, think you can lock the brake lever against the handlebar grip, if it's tight enuff not to slide out sideways, think it may just work!

Even the smallest spark can start a massive forest fire...

Thanks for the plugs !! and appreciate very much your coming down my area to deliver. Thanks to Helmet Box to for waking up early and getting there.

Owe both of you a meal - maybe on 18 Nov or 6-8 Dec join you on trip to Camerons.

About your query on locking the Handbrake - I carry an ABLOY door lock which has an extra looong loop and somehow this fits perfectly behind the hand lever after you pull it to the tightest point. Very effective - only thing it gives away the fact that there is a PARKING BRAKE. Will show you the lock when we meet.

One good Tip for those fitting DENSO plugs when they are NEW - Set the Gap to .80mm or check that it is close enough to this with a FEELER GAUGE. Then apply some high heat range grease or copper Anti Seeze to the new plug threads (not to much or that it gets onto the plug electrodes area) then finger thighten the plugs all the way till cannot move. Then tighten ONE FULL TURN with the plug wrench and the tool kit 10mm ring spanner. Stop. Then loosen back a few turns. Tighten again with fingers then using wrench tighten not more than 1/8 to 1/4 turn. Do all this with engine COLD.

hmmm... is it possible to cut or rupture the rubber brake hose? if yes, then maybe this method of locking becomes ineffective liow

 Got any difference if installing the plugs the 'normal' method?

Is there any performance difference?

Effective against those not familiar with SW handbrake system.

They either miss the handbrake or don't know where exactly is the brake.
