btw, is the $180 inclusive of dynamic (some pp call high speed) balancing? i.e. after fitting tire onto wheel and inflating, they put the wheel/tire set onto a balancing machine which spins the it at high speed to determine how proportional the weight distribution is, then add balancing weights as necessary.

a set of balanced tires is very important as it makes the ride a lot smoother; unbalanced tires cause vibrations and very uncomfortable especially at the front :pity:

* can collect into big container and then pass to your regular motortiam, or

* ask your regular mech to change for you, for a fee of course

I went FS this PM too...

To see 'ppl' and check my clutch housing. Got squeeky sound when move off.

Found out that the clutch bell gone liao (19.5k mileage). Scratches all round and metal bits stuck to the clutch pads.

I've seen similar failures on 2 SW at FS before. Never thought happened to me so soon.

Anyway, changed a new set costs me $200. Ewwww.

Must factor this into my future maintenance cost liao.

no need to change one la..

lol..

mine 7500 got already...

lol...

then go back BS ask them take out wash and blow. then ok already..

then 12500 come back again..

Yah. They sent someone to pick up the parts and change.

The Caltex nearer to Paya Lebar Rd. Many cars queue up over there.

But now I think they charge quite ex also, especially for chemical wash.

I might want try JB or GP next time.

so any differences??

We met that Harley (8888)too.... wonder the pillion is his wife or daughter

What is the max speed you clocked on your B650? I clocked 170kmh sustained... there is a cut off at that speed....acceleration to that speed is no problem even in an upslope... Mine is the SW600

Max clocked is 184km/h. But normally can only sustain at 173km/h+-2. Rode one SW600 b4, is strong in the mid range and end.

Any pics u guys took at Penang?

Sry for the off topic.

Sliverwing rear tire only 13"

Wheel balancing machine only cater for wheels 14" or 15" and above.

Most bike shops would do balancing even for our tire size.

The cost would have been included when they quote.

AGreed, it's a matter of money... willing to pay, it will be done... sometimes they give stupid excuses just to make ife easier for themselves....

Just like 2 days ago, the Mech filling my bike with engine oil put in 2.3 litres. I told him it is 2.2 litres according to the manual, he said manual is wrong?? WTF? I said, then it is ME that wants 2.2 so he drew 100ml out

So meaning if got squeaky noise when moving off, we can just ignore it? No big damage to bike in long term?

not true. its because there is no bearings in the rear rim.

most scooters whose final drive is belt driven, have no bearings in the rear rim. thus unable to do tire balancing.
