Wont be your engine oil - But maybe your V belt going already or the Engine bolts that hold the engine onto the frame need to retighten !

Hi Kris,

This has been happening for long time... 5

In our frenly neighbour, brand new S4 spec III right now selling for 48,999rm

Brand New CBR 1000 2007 is selling for 89,899rm...

So you think why our bike is so WORTHY of the syndicate?

Over here S4 only 13.5K OTR.... so much diff.

Of course they will prey on our bikes.

As long as those that they have in range, we will be a target for their spare parts. Its is a vicious cycle.

You are partially Right !! But the BEST reason is that a lot of people with S4s going over to JB for service and buying 'second hand' spare parts - result the High Tech motor Bike Engineers and workshops always have available parts - You can then imagine where they come from ! But dont ask !

I just tried earlier today walking around several bike shops there and 4 out of 10 said Yah ! we have but have to order and must leave your bike with them for two days - i enquired whether got 'car blayter' or 'gantong' and also 'lady eightter tunki'. I acted very down and out and desperate !!!

Agreed !! Why do you think those OLD TIMERS still riding prefer HONDA mostly. Parts more easy to obtain and Boon Siew offers best aftersales service.

Very true. But there're still many old timers who choose to stick with Suzuki. I even have uncle friends who only choose to buy brand new Suzuki sports bike to play track.

Bro,

What does 10-40 on the Engine oil bottle means?

Ths viscosity? or the 'thickness' of the oil?

Recommended? :cheeky:

we dun have to be bothered by the 1st number. its for cold climate countries.

only have to take note the 2nd number. its how it can take the heat and temperature.

bikes from japan, their manual usually states 10-40. but singapore is a hotter country. its best to stick to 10-50, 15-50 or 20-50. its the best engine protection u can get.

personally, i prefer viscosity 40. tried maxima 50 which is suppose to be "thinner" than normal 50, the throttle felt heavier... although engine vibration is reduced. now back to 40.

yes. 40 allows u to ride faster, thus throttle feels lighter. but the oil breaks down much faster than 50. 40's oil breaks down after abt 1500km to 2000km. depends on how hard u ride also. after it breaks down, your ride will feel rough.
