uncle said sell cheap cheap $11,800 OTR , but think haven't add insurance,

and tat time i ask he said if want black color had to add $300,

i also went AS phoon, quoted $12,600 OTR with insurance n box too.. choose any color..

 

Some questions, hope that old birds can help help

 

1) How much would a new silverwing 400 cost now OTR?

2) Is the silverwing 600 still selling? If yes, how much OTR?

for SW600 there's only 2nd hands ones in the market but think all in hand of the owners.

but rumours about a new batch of SW600 coming in this year is heard since last year.

Abt a mth ago, a fren of mine @29yrs old was quoted $12.5k OTR with 3rd party(fire & theft) insurance from ASPHoon and it was an '07 Euro model from what I know.

Does fixing K&N filter means more fuel-consumption during normal days ride?

I used it on my previous JDM SW, f.c. around 20km/L... no much difference from the rest...

Yah ! FBC already - that why i drag an old number from another honda foresight scooter to use on my new SW.

 

Mainly because i know the history of the number and those mata2 type on the other side cannot bluff me 'your number got record many summons'. I even heard someone with new FBB plate and first time across was slammed with 4 speeding / parking ticket after being stopped. So be carefull and dont give in to their bullshit - especially the sourthern states.

05/01/2008, was not a good day to start... as we were unable to get insurance on 04/01/2008, due to reaching Hatyai late. We were only able to get the insurance at 08.30hrs (thai time) and guess what..... the insurance shop only open from Mon to Fri! That was what a shop owner oppersite the insurance shop told us... we asked her was there anymore around the area and she said ALL don't open on Sat. We were left with two options.... go without insurance or go back to the border to get the insurance (knowing that we should be able to get it).... as an insurance adviser myself, I know that it is a must to get the insurance so we were read to ride back to the border for it. Suddently, the shop owner who said no to us, told us that her customer was willing to bring us around to find one that open on Sat we followed her bike and went to search for it.... the 1st. we went to was also closed and we went to another, it was also closed. she wanted to give up suddenly, she remembered one near by and we went to try.... this time the shop was OPEN! we thank her and processed with the insurance.

 

After the insurance was done, we were not sure where we were and we took the wrong road it took us some time to get back on track and we were only able to reach Prachuep Khiri at 19.30hrs.

 

As we were way back our schedule, we decided to more of at 0430 hrs the next day and managed to reach Lampang at around 1900hrs. best day so far

 

the weather was on out side all these days!

 

tomorrow we will go to Golden Triangle

hi u riding phantom now? switching to SW scooter! I bought SW last christmas! two years old bike .cost want to remain undisclosed.. respect the prev owner..Don't want to spolit market! 5k for SW is a good buy as what Big cow's Friend got it! lucky to get a private seller! Good pick from heaven! It best to get from private owner,get to know the history of the bike and bargain!

If u need to take loan ,best to get from bike shop but have to pay interest!

Actually the FC & Performance should improve slightly with the K&N - And may be better you put the K&N in earlier when you change your spark plugs. Provided of course that you follow K&N instructions carefully on servicing & installation.

 

About the original spark plugs - these are put in at the factory and if you examine them carefully against a pair bought outside you will see some slight differences. The original plugs were designed for 'Running In' and you will probably have realized by now cannot reach Max RPM and pick up a bit slow. This is to protect engine during Run In period. Of course they wont tell you this !!! - But they will RECOMMEND that you change the plugs after Running In period.
