hi all.

desperately need help. My x8 has died on me for the umpteenth time dis morning. Just when i abt to move off it died. Tried to restart but could not. Batt ok. Just came back from shop 2days ago. Now same thing happen. any advice?

Prob you can tow your bike to wonderful motors and let Botak have a look. Most of us here get our bikes to him. You can contact him @ 96936520. Hopefully he can resolve the problem on your bike.

got cranking sound?? if no, would most likely be coil problem.....

ya after reading the forum and all I hear are good things abt him decided to tow it there. he managed to rectify it. it's some stuff with the carburetor. was happy he managed to solve it. was about to ride off then it happened again! shucks. even he had trouble rectifying it. after changing to a spare carburetor he still couldn't rectify it. he told me he needed another day to investigate the issue. so he decided to put my carburetor back and tried again. Surprisingly it worked this time round. He did inform me that I needed to change a couple of other stuff before the situation got worse. Sigh! told him i'll think abt it. maybe it's time for me to let it go. am seriously thinking of selling it off as nowadays i use it for running errands around my neighbourhood and to attend night classes. Most to most I only use it like 2-3 times a week unlike before when I used to use it every single day for work. Nowadays I can't use it as often as before as I am driving a car. So I can't afford to maintain my X8 anymore. Hence will be selling it off pretty soon.

Hi all,

 

I am new x8 rider, juz bought from this forum, may i know any bikeshop can recommended for service and repair? I have no idea which shop is specialist in x8?

 

Ytd, i ride my x8 to Plaza Sin, i notice that the temperature indicator showing "hot" easily.... after i turn off my engine, suddenly i feel a strong fan sound come out from front? any idea what happen ah? i suspect the coolant is not working well or need to services? normally what is the indicator showing ah? i believe normally show around 2/3 as max right? cannot be more than 2/3, look abit danger the engine is going too hot, am i right?

 

Beside this, the horn i feel the sound is not loud, so i tink to change for other louder horn, any brand can recommend?

I went to Unique Moto, flush the coolant, so now the temperature indicator maintain at above half abit, better than before liao.... But i still dunno wat is the fan sound last time??

 

Btw, i oso go install stela horn for my x8.... haiz... i still base on my own info n bikeshop....wonder here no more X8 riders liao??

Hi there.

 

The fan sound occurs whenever the bike is quite heated up. It does happen to mine as well but mostly is due to like travelling at low speeds, ie. during heavy traffic and jams.

In any case, the fan sound is the bike activating the internal fan so as to cool down the engine to prevent it from overheating. No cause for worry on that!

Recently have added some parts for my x8... such as digital volt meter, PA2, lightbulb etc... feel the best add on is PA2, after added feel more smoothly ran for the engine...

 

i tink to do grounding, understand from one brother, he din on his SW400 maximum only 4 points some time back, cost ard 40 buck. i have asked a few bikeshop, they quote me 80 buck...sigh... Any x8 riders here din it on his bike? Feel free advice here. Thanks

Hey guys, mine X8 could not start today, i think is probably becoz i went oversea and the batt kind of died. Do you think is better to change the whole battery or buy some stuff to charge it? and how much does a batt cost?~

I believe is battery flat.... scooter most scary stuff is battery... esp when u din used your bike for a few days... our battery have to start or run for everyday, so that the battery can re-charged itself... if you din run your bike, battery will not re-charged.

 

Simple to noe whether your battery whether izzit flat liao, turn on your key check your signal or headlight whether got light on bo? if din, then sure is no battery. If u still feel doubt, then juz removed your battery and bring it to bikeshop and double check lo. Buy a battery from anybike shop, tink cost fm $50 to $120.... depend on brand..

HELP!!! HELP!!!

 

i have changed my bike to X8 200cc around 1 month, this evening i noticed that when i pump the petrol till full, there is leaking of some petrol out from bottom, but i check my tank, still remain the same level, dunno why the petrol is leaking out.....??? what happening? anyone noe abt tat? Izzit i pump too full?? the extra will come out? but feel abnormal cannot be extra will leaking out automatically right? Is my petrol tank got problem?

 

I dun feel any diff for the FC, i can still remain around 290KM - 300KM, then dashboard will blinking the light for no petrol liao, but i still can hit till 320KM leh....Pls enlighten me....

anyway, my bike engine will sometimes stall when i go low speed or with pillion..issit because no more engine oil?

I advice u get ur bike check asap... I suspect the rubber tube which connect to the tank to engine worn out... better get it done quick b4 it burst... very unsafe! btw how full is full ? if u pump till can see fuel spill out too full liao theres a hole for spillage and drain to bottom...

last time I put about 1/4 of the pump nozzle in just nice no spillage.. unless in m'sia just pump till overflow... lolz...

ur FC is very good! the fuel sensor might fall off and float around ur tank that y got false indication... dun worry about tat if u know ur bike milege...

1st thing just confirm if ur bike really leak fuel or u really pump over shot...

can be spark plug... get it replace if u unsure how old is the spark plug u use...

u can check ur oil level by the side of ur engine... make sure ur bike in main stand and in cold mode mean b4 u warm up ur bike...

Thks for your advice... finally i solved the problem... basically i changed the rubber tube which suspect was worn out... but after changed is still leaking and i return to the bike shop and check agn... end up we find out not the rubber tube leaking problem.... the fuel is leaking from the hole which is for spillage and drain to bottom (tis tube is used for the air flowing in so tat the fuel can be pump out for usage)....

 

In order to stop this, the mechanic tie the tube higher than my fuel tank, so tat when i fully pump, the fuel will not leaking....

I ride a X8 before and too used to see X9 and X8.... even helped my mechanic dismantle before.... hence i am 100% sure X9 and X8 uses different box and rack.... unless you want to mod then it's another issue....

Hi all, just wanna get some info abt x8 200. Is it true tat d underseat compartment is big enough 2 fit 2 full face helmets? Where d fuel cap located n will it overflow if u pump without seeing d level? n lastly, is there any difference between d old n new versions as i heard d new version had some batt flat problem, dunno how true is tat cos i may b getting a FZ plate which is consider old version rite?

Will appreciate it if all bro here can help me with d above questions. Thanks.
