bro zeewan,

any idea on the costs involved to rectify this?

should be quite cheap right? Cos im pretty new to this x8; the bike is 6 years old, but the rider is just 4-5mths old? Haha...in terms of experience, that is... c",)

Will need to realign my handlebar also...

Bro kenshi18_05, I got the same speed... 135-140 on flat road... You wanna install Dr Pulley Sliders too? Maybe we could go to Taihin together and install it... MAYBE can get discount? I knew it's $65... Quite expensive compared to Malossi Rollers which is around $35? I went to Future Scootering most of the time and went to Taihin once... Havent go to Botak before leh... Thinking of getting Malossi parts from Sunrise Eurobike, Dr Pulley Parts from Taihin and original parts from Future Scootering... But do Taihin bring in Malossi? Difficult for me to go to different workshops leh...

Hi bro ZeeWan, i am curious to know, you have mentioned that you got the same speed 135-140 on flat road. Is your X8 can hit the speed 135-140?

I tried my X8 in Malaysia Highway, max speed can only hit 120Km/h. I also referred the piaggio website, max speed limit for X8 200cc is only 120km/h even the speedo is showing up to 160km lah...

My X8 is without any modification and all in OEM parts. If your X8 can hit this speed, how you do it? can share? or any other X8 biker can hit more than 120km/h too? Of cos I am not encourage ppl for speeding, but juz want to know what is the max speed limit X8 can hit only...:cheeky::cheeky:

Hi bro kenshi18_05 & bro TitanicLexus. Don't get me wrong. I'm still new to the bike and also still a P-PLATER. Whatever I've shared, it's just my experience. Workshops are the best to check for problems...

Bro kenshi18_05, the manifold that I changed cost me $45 at Future Scootering. For mine, they said alot of things have to be considered. Have to check thoroughly.

Bro TitanicLexus, when I hit around 120-125, the meter will slowly climb. My bike is like begging for mercy already. Mine is everything stock but don't know if old owner got disturb the transmission or not because I haven't even change the rollers yet. I only did full-system exhaust and air filter. I did the jetting for my bike but !@#$, the shop I went lied to me about the size they changed. They also changed only 1 jet! I wasn't satisfied with them! I forked out the cash for nothing. I have to rejet again. This time, I will make sure I read the size on the jets first before they install it! Any of you have similar modifications and maybe using aftermarket variator?

bro zeewan,

Possible to pm me the shop that you went to that cheated you?

One thing im very particular is abt workshop...cos of an incident with my bro's car where he sent to a garage for radiator issues, was convinced to leave it there for a few days, and in the next few mths found all other issues coming up. even till now.

Apparently, the mechanics there had swapped all his parts with used parts, even the batt, clutch spring, alternator, alarm, volt stab...etc...

and my bro is "rebuilding' the car now...salary by salary, part by part...its sad, but sometimes, we just havent yet tasted the extreme-end spectrum of being chopped.

I hope none of the bros here will ever have to face something like this...so better to know and avoid, ok?

Cheers.

Then wat you mentioned flat road hit 135-140 above? not speed ah? I tot X8 can hit such speed limit, tat y curious to know only....

Wow, P-plater.. then have to ride safely for one year n collect full point. After go class 2A and go further class 2? I got my class 2A, used to ride Super 4 spec 1 before.... modification my S4 till nice nice... then sell away n downgrade to take X8... haha... initially feel the speed and power damm slow... but slowly get used... No regret to take x8, as very comfortable bike i ever ride...

Btw, why need to do jetting for X8? i oso not familiar X8 parts... if for S4, jetting is due to change of after market full system exhaust for the bike, is this the same?

yep bro,i'm very curious on the 140km/h run..aftermarket CDI? coz even my bike ex owner used to fit a factory malossi racing block with 225cc output, could only go 155km/h dude..that's what got me curious..

Bro, your ex owner used to fit a factory malossi racing block with 225cc output, then consider modification engine, is this illegal? I dun think so is legal right?

Wow.... u change full-system.... then not consider full stock lah.... change to full-system exhaust can go faster than stock exhaust.... in term of pick up n speed.. btw, how much you speed on the full system? GPR or LV?

I'm using GPR Poppy SF. I bought the pipe for $610. Frankly speaking, I regret changing exhaust first. With $600++, you can change aftermarket variator and clutch.

and how's the sound, if its LV 4road?

i like those deep and bassy types...haiz..

Deep and bassy, LV SBK lor... Even with silencer, it sounded so shiok. But our bike not legal... Freaking jealous of Gileras using them... LOL!

Actually you are right half, changing block it wun be see from outside, so you got not issue to pass inspection. But i do hear my frd told me b4, perhaps no accident involvement (touch wood). If like serious type or wat, bike send to check by TP and insurance company, if founded modification, you will not get any insurance coverage.... :dot::dot:

Juz share what i know, hope you dun mind.

gd to know there's still ppl pushing limits with this bike,i'm just curious bout how long do you drag till you reached 140 bro?1.5-2km? hehehe..i'm just very interested to know coz i'm conservative on the long throttle dragging part..well,even if i try to drag the bike from 0-140 more than 1.5-2km,i would lose substantial amount of speed due to engine stress and resulting in massive amount of wear and tear on bike's component..i dare not temp fate..lol

anyways..just to self update,i have had this bike for 1yr 2mths now.Ridden for about 5650km,(K.L,Melaka,Pahang,Trengganu)So far so good,no electrical nor mechanical setback..normal servicing. No major modifications and it had NEVER ONCE let me down before.People still looks at me everytime i stop at a traffic light.I guess, they must be wondering about why would anyone paint their X8 kawasaki green ...lol

Just sharing though..:p

Bro sgrider,

What's the weight of the rollers in your pollini speed?

And it has 9 rollers right?

bro kenshi18,

Sorry i don't know what is the weight of rollers , i think mine is only 6 rollers only . actually i really don't like to change mine origianl broken that why. i drag 100 to 140 km/hr about 1 km .not that take longe.but i don't recommand to go that speed so frequently .wear and tear very fast.

Good to know that x8 can go for speed limit 140km/h.... i tink to hit this speed limit, have to do some changes, like you mentioned here roller n bell... if all in stock, dun tink can hit such speed. My understanding is stock only can hit 120km/h. So far most of the x8 bikers here who hit this speed, either is change for full system or roller n bell.

I agreed that dun go speeding n frequently... definitely wear n tear very fast. :cheeky::cheeky:

Personally, i like powerful in pick up for my x8 more than speed. So far i have done grounding n install PA2, more or less increase abit in pick up, smooth for engine, longer battery life time, and reduce vibration for bike. Beside that, any other stuff? Any x8 biker here can share your experience? Thanks
