Car sent for servicing, taking bike to work this morning, start & stall, start & stall, like no fuel but tank is full! Fuel pump is dead! DIY myself 2 hours including ride bicycle to tampines industrial to buy fuel pump. Fuel pump costs $48, 1 day leave cost $$$, Damn, Car & bike down at the same time, is it a sign telling me don go to work? Maybe, after I gave up, back home turn on radio heard there is accident towards changi airport at bedok reservoir flyover by flying dutchmen from class 95!

This is my 5th Fuel pump,

1st - 34637km ( Pump Failed ) - Original

2nd - 75000-34637 = 40363km ( not accurate, about 75000 ) - OEM from LAB looks the same $100

3rd - 23228km ( can still work but chg due to GT tour ) - Mitsubishi UC-V4 for Lancer - $48++

4th - 40801km ( Pump Failed ) - Mitsubishi UC-V6B for EVO 9 - $48

5th - ???? - Mitsubishi UC-V6B for EVO 9 - $48

wow change 5 fuel pump already....mine change the oem fuel pump when it fail at 24,000km. Replace the mitsui from moto world and still working fine after 73,00om of ride. Preventative measure i just replace a new fuel pump & fuel filter. I hope the 3rd fuel can last me another 50k. Have u change the fuel relay, also have to look out especially reaching 1 cycle....How are u lately? Can still go for long distance touring...hatyai waiting to welcome u back. :)

Olin>> if ur bike is old ...maybe can try thicker oil...long distance ride, our bike will eat up the EO fast. Just make sure u bring at least half bottle of EO when u ride up at thailand. U can try bel-ray Vtwin & u will able to c the different..so far be have try motul, maxima...and now i change to bel-ray vtwin EO.

Olin>> give pennzoil a try, I am using it now. Smooth acceleration. Go to Ubi Autobay HL Cycle look for Chua. Tell him Jason recommend you and he will know what to do. They use KNN oil filters. And get a snow wash for your bike with every servicing... haha

Thks, I will go look out! bicycle can do.

SCorpion >> currently using now.. good with cornering and wet roads.. Compound good for spore roads.. mid-high hardness..

Anankees 2 >> Reviews from users differs.. Some say ok.. Some say no.. Personally myself prefer the old anakees...

The ol' Anankees was Sticky for playing 'corner-baring!!!'(play corner).. but dun last as long compare to other tyres for our fatgerls...

Others:

Tourance 2 >> not recommended..unless intend to use for frequent touring up north.. the larger threads unlike the ver 1.. lesser grip esp for slick or wet roads..

ContiAttack >> If u planning to conquer rough roads, here's the one.. Off-road or uneven roads up north.. Durability not sure.. but one to consider if plan to visit Endau Rompin or Selai...

* There is a shop located at Tampines Industrial.. Good pricing.. unsure wat name.. Contact bro Chrislayer or Fuji-San for better details..

Any bros can provide better 'kan-tows'; share here k... :thumb:

Bro..I have the same feeling with u..but I will monitor for a few more ride. New pump change but in 4th gear, bike seems shortage of fuel...have to throttle hard. Let me know if u have replace the fuel relay n have any changes. Fuel cut relay can get it from fjt

Got my fuel cut relay from FJT @$52 instead of $45. Installed & still the same problem, look like not the fuel not feeding, cause I pump till rpm 4.5k, I closed & pump up again, feel the "not feeding", I pump more more, got feeding, but there is a lag. God pls don tell me its the CDI problem!
