i just took over FU plate Vara 02 model for 2 weeks now. Few days back just encounter few glitches which im puzzeled about.

 

1) after 1 week, i have to hold throttle on cold start, even when i pull the choke, if not engine will cut off.

2) while riding, sometimes theres a small pop coming from under the tank and bike jerk with the pop.

 

Since im new to this baby, i decided to send her to HKL clinik and doc Ah San is checking her out now. So now, im waiting for them to call as i have to go back to office.

HUH??!! What INTERNAL DAMAGE?? The guy that called me only mention that they cant get the bike ready by today becauce of some issues with the carb and he didnt mention anything else.... hmmmm im getting very very worried now.....

Ah San mentioned that some screws inside the air box area were not secured properly. Chances are this is causing the 'pop' sound to occur cuz pressure within arent calibrating at optimum level. no big or major issues that can be seen unless mech detect something tht require ur attention. chillax bro.. ur biggest concern if the almost botak rear wheel..

 

don't worry much abt your bike. its still quite durable. i unstd how you feel cuz i had a horendous journey when start owning the fatgerl. build it up back bit by bit.

 

but if you are passionate and patient enough, the fatgerl will reward you back on how wonderful it feels between your legs on the NSH..

 

A seat down with the chaps will cool you down.. No worries aight.. sorry for the scare.. just honest 2 cents k.. Tk care and ride safe!

front EXP and rear Tourance cos that time no stock for the front.

Élan, chances are the front will wear faster cuz the exp compound slightly softer than the old tourance. Tyre run-in for the rear will take quite a distance due to mid-hard compound. Bt for tourer like ursef, this is added bonus. Long lasting mah! Bt ride careful on slick, wet roads k.. I learnt the hard and expensive way in the past.

 

I tried metzeler(tourance), michellin anakees and pirelli scorpion.. The last one suits me for Singapore roads cuz it plays well at corners and especially wet, slick surfaces... Wud recommend dat to fatgerl owners who seldom tour like myself.
