too loose it may 'jumped' wen u u change from 1st to 2nd gear...means e chain drop off ur rear sprocket

hi all,

going to tighten my chain later in the day. Got a question. Do i loosen the swingarm nut and then adjust one at a time or loosen both then adjust then tighten back both?? Any difference?

Thanks!!

there's another one opposite the chinese garden mrt... pretty popular i think

huahhh.....dear bros....that place chop people 1!

use to ride rxk.....my dad pb1.... went there to buy stuff...

price far from expensive...avoid that place unless u have no choice.

the shop opp. lakeside mrt is better. mechnic friendly and price can bargain.

itziz if the chain is spoilt .. no matter how mani times u adjust .. it will still slack and loosen one ?

yupz....time to change new 1 oredy....

one of the cause i personally realised how fast the chain spoil or slack is the rider's style of riding. if ur the person who like to chiong or accelerate hard from start, the chain will slack faster... tat happens to my dad. i ride relac2....cruising chain life can last longer and take long time to slack. let my dad rode my bike for a day....wahhh biangzz....next chain slack sia. lucky got tools to DIY. :p

spanner only..... 2 sizes, 1 for the main big nut, the other small one for straining the chain. not sure whether all sport bikes r the same. my dad's pb1 and my vtec nt the same. my rxk and my fren rxz oso not the same one. :D the trick is to spin the wheel and look for the slackest part of the chain by pushing the chain up. tighten the chain where particular chain is the slackest . juz spray chain wax regularly especially after rain. :p

If you get e automatic chain oiler, you do not need to retension the chain.

If you are retensioning the chain often, then maybe it is time to change it.

is it neccessary to change the sprockets when u change the chain? or can juz change chain? my sprockets looks fine to me..

Philosophy A: Ignore what everyone else thinks. Riding is a better way to get around. Ride paranoid and keep your skills sharp

Philosophy B: Ride with somebody who's better than you. You will pick up a handy trick or new skill just about every time you are out

Philosophy C: You don't need a big bike to prove ur passion for riding

i guess as long as there is a requirement for the chain to get stretched

then it will become looser faster lor

but compared to u zhua the throttle, using of engine brake wouldnt cause the chain to become loose so fast lar

anyway as long as yr speed matches the gear u are at..it shouldnt be too much a strain on the chain :bouncefire:
