Beware of the Mat Rempit aka young malay riders in JB, they normally come in group and strike at midnite. When they try to corner you, the only way to get out is to chiong with your bike.

Normally they won't be jailed even after caught by JB police, becoz of racial advantage.

There is no doubt Malaysia is not as safe as it used to be. But hijacking a Tuono does not make sense. There are so few of them in Malaysia.

We they on kapcai or big bikes? This really does not make any sense.

Posted

Some of them do have bigger bikes.

But I do find it strange.

- the rempits riding what bike?

- can't ts see at the mirror there's a group of rempits coming?

- y ts does not pick up n just run? U r on a 1 litter engine afterall.

~ the rempits wearing police uniform is it? Or their bike like police type?

- y stop?

I rather die otr killing one of them in process rather then stopping killing myself only.

They ride souped up kupkias. And they know the roads better than we do. Just think of them in terms of Kancils that can keep up with Evos and Wrx's.

Seriously?

One full throttle in I leave them. In any gears.

Do not need to know the roads to get off it. Just go straight full throttle. Lost the rempits then can think about where u r actually at.

Have not encounter such incident b4 but hopefully will nvr get into 1... Its very subjective to Y we r being targetted as subject of crime but there some precaution that we can take into considerations...

- When having breaks at e RnR, try not to b "loud" coz e Rempits there might b offended by that...

- Be humble. Giving that kinda " My bike is BIG, urs is small" look will only invite trouble..

- Try not to "blow" those super loud exhaust unnecesarily... Especially when entering e RnR/petrol kiosk.

- If need to change large amount of $$, b discreet, better to change it in sg.. Coz there "observers" at money changer especially where sporeans always go to change $..

- those going in alone to pump petrol, b extra alert/cautious especially when u r pumping petrol coz there r incidents whereby e rider whilst filling up, was approached by a group n robbed him...

Above r juz my opinions... N not all Mat Rempits r bad pple.. Have encountered my bike breakdwn at 2nd link (bike totally cannot b started)... Nd to get back from petronas gp to e other side towards sg so tried to go via e small road (short cut) coz my friend not skilled to use leg to push... Whilst on it, travelling at a mere 20-30km/hr n "suffering", suddenly from out of no where a mat rempit stopped us n asked where we wanna go.. After telling him our predicament, without hesitation, he started to push my bike using his leg on his kup.. E amount of skill that fella have really earned my respect, imagine pushing a 1 litre bike n can reach speed of 80-100 km/hr, effortless n in no time we reached our destination.. Gave e guy some $$ as token of appreciation.. So not all e mat rempits that bad afterall..

I think the title mat rempit refers to those who are badass and runs around terrifying everybody else regardless of nation or gender.

Not everyone who rides a noisy kup is a mat rempit eh.

Btw,if u push a bike like what that guy did pushing the liter bike, will local police give u grief? Yet to see those happening in Sg.
