2 strokes bike doesnt really depend on batttery that much.

but if long term riding with a faulty battery might cause more harm to bike recifier.

1 good way to detect bad condition battery is when during idling time, head light is very dim, but when throttle, the head light turn very bright/normal.

Therefore chances of repeat stalling of engine due to faulty battery is pretty slim. Think your bike choke is jam or choke cable snapped alr.

when you start you engine in the morning or after long period of time stopping, did you notice if there any increasing of rpm to more then 2k and drop after abt 5 mins. If that the case, think you got a jam choke or snap choke cable.

finally, better send to your trust mech to check your bike.

its best u change ur batt wif a new piece of rectifier, coz rectifier plays a major role in recharging ur batt besides the coil. shudnt be ur fuse as u said earlier ur lite are on.

2T bike stalling has got nothing to do with your battery.

Check your ignition coil, stator coil, exhaust valve ( the thing that rotates at the exhaust manifold).

Problem couild be your carb's pilot jet that is clogged.

If you have carb problems, this could also indicate your petroltank has got corrossion. In this case, install a fule filter before the petrol enters the carb.

Best is sent in to Honda's agent for service and please not to any FXXK-UP mototiams.

Hope this helps.

I encountered this problem before, not on SP, but other bike.

For my case was, when came to almost stop, I dropped gear from 2nd to 1st, the engine stalled. Or when there was a sudden brake and slowed down, from normal speed to stop, the engine stalled.

Increased the engine idling abit more, the problem solved.

my 1/2 cent:

I'm riding a TA150, which I believe has the same engine as ur NSR 150. Faced the same problem previously, symtoms:

1) Hard to start, pull choke also don't work; has to turn accelerator up to start.

2) Normal idling become low...need to turn up

3) Stall when stopping.....hard to start after stall

4) Acceleration........slower due to percieve `lost' of power.

Action taken:

1) change battery - no difference

2) change sparkplug - no difference

3) Sent to 3 different shops......all point to either CDI or plug coil.

After more digging, got this info; Plug coil is a simple product, rarely spoilt. CDI lifespan approx. after 5yrs will start to die.

Finally, decided to change CDI.......all is fine today...:cheer:
