knocking sound from front wheel

hi, any idea why there is knocking sound when i go on humps.? my fren told me its due to absorber problem which need replacement.

anyone ever replace absorber for nissan sunny? would like to know how much it would cost for the replacement? thanks

it happened to my dad's car as well. went to mechanic and found out to be front wheel shaft.

yup...humps and when i brake theres also knocking sound.

few causes...

 

1. suspension & absorber

 

2. drive shaft

 

3.bearings? have sound when you travel normally?

 

very hard to tell lah...and im no mechanic ah..just sharing based on a bit of experience & when i go to my workshop talk c*** with my mechanics...

 

& by the way...it might be just some loose parts....really very hard to say...

my dads car is an old one. 13yr old sunny. hence the parts might be cheaper.

 

it costs him $220 only.

Most prob its due to the dry shaft. Normally its due for ppl play so much corner for new cars and wear and tear for old cars.
