Hi everyone, as per topic.. how to remove that smell? I can faint when smelling it myself.. Also damn pai seh if my shirt stinks after wearing the jacket.

 

I tried sunning it and it didn't remove the smell.. Any another solutions or tips? TIA

the smell is probably due to trapping of moisture when u fold and store the raincoat after use.

 

the only way to rid the smell... as far as i know, is to wash it. use abit of detergent... too much of detergent may damage the waterproof coating. don't use washing machine. handwash and drip dry

wad if e jacket is a armour jacket ?

same method ? take out pad,dan wash ?

I have friends feedback that febreze makes it worst on the long run. So I didn't try it yet..

sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) 2dollars onli :) does the job even for my smelly shoes

Thanks for the tip. I going to try it out. I have shoes that still smell despite me washing multiple times..

my method.. sun-ing it.. at noon time... 12 noon onwards... good sun kills the smell.. but will come back again..
