brand new BMW F800R ($27 k OTR) vs 2009 BMW F800R ($20k) mileage 20k

deciding between a brand new 2011 BMW F800R going at 25k machine price or a 2nd hand relatively good condition 2009 BMW F800R with 20k mileage and PML service history at $20K

25k at most 28.5k to otr laaass..hahas..1.5k coe 1k insurance 500 road tax 500registration..estimate uhss..but still, depends on depreciation rate..plus now coe high..rather you get new one..at least when sell, still can sell with coe price..

errr choice not very clear to me leh ....and btw ...any other bikes similar to F800R ? tried FZ8N and F800ST ... dunno what bike to get ...need low seat height and upright riding bikes

Possible choice is Honda VFR800X Crossrunner

Saw somewhere on the forum that they promise OTR around 22k

Sat on it in Boon Siew - feels pretty much like my Hornet 900 but with completely upright posture and some fairing

it is not worth bcos it is a buget machine in bm's range. it does not have up side down folk n it has conventional brake. better get ducati monster 796 at around the same price on the rd but it has all the goodies.

20K for second hand fr800 is also too much. PM service is no big deal. F800r is a good bike with straight forward design and great handling. But it is being over priced in Singapore by the agent.

796 is pretty high for me and a top box is one of the criteria when selecting a bike which is most prob a transport bike

From a purely depreciation perspective, it'll depend on how long you intend to keep the bike for. If for only around 2 years or less, i'd say go with the used.
