Hi bros,

Just wondering if anyone has sold their bikes to the bike shop before..

what is the procedure like? Just ride the bike there, say u want to sell, then they give u cash immed? Or does it take several days?

Will they test the bike and all that? or just take low regardless and fix it up if they need to.

which shop has the best value? Is it those big shops like at bkt merah there, or small workshops?

And.. normally will lose how much of the bike's value?

The bike is a 2002 honda super 4 spec 2.. if anyone is looking for one also. hehe. I'll be moving overseas in 1.5 weeks time.

Thanks in advance. :)

You are looking at about how much?

I still think you can get better price if you sell in forum

To ride on the road, You need skills,Stamina, or even luck.

But to be a good rider, you have to change with your environment, and adjust yourself to its rhythm.

Cultivate the confidence to face the different situations. Don't let yourself to be subdued by the environment :thumb:

oh, wha so troublesome have to go all the way to LTA?

I thought alot of shops can do the paperwork on the spot, similar to buying it from them.

@kmax, roughly how much compared to the private price did the guy offer?

Actually right now better price is not really an issue now as time is a more limiting factor.

although to lose more than 3k on a bike that i've had for about 8 months is quite ridiculous imo.

I'm hoping to get about 4k out from it right now, although i think the shops might take in for around 3+ (did get a quick verbal quote from bike productions).

hopefully it's the higher end as there are some goodies inside.

coz bikeshop cant do transfer on the spot.. still need to go LTA to transfer, either with you or without you.

that's why they need your IC.

just scan through garage sale for reference price..

If you want to sell to the bike shop. You can speed up the process by obtaining the transfer pin from LTA Sin Ming yourselves.

1. Obtain the transfer pin from LTA Sin Ming

2. Go to the bike shop and discuss the terms

3. They give you monies. You give them transfer pin. Plus black and white documents

4. Thats it.
