hi everyone, i've got a question which i hope more experience guys here can help!

 

what are included in the OTR price?

i know there are insurance which is dependent on rider

IU - $150

rd tax- $32 for 2B bike

COE- $1682

REGISTRATION FEE?

is there transfer fee for new bike?

any other items that i miss out?

Different shops have different meaning of OTR. But most would mean nett price excluding insurance. For new bikes it covers IU, registration, 6mths road tax and any GST. No additional charges. For used ones it means including transfer fees and any GST.

 

But don't quote me or anyone else that u ask here. ASK THE SHOP!!

seems like the shop is unwilling to share the details of what the count for otr price for 1st hand bike.. not gonna name them.. but i shall try again..i think IU will be 150?

6 mth rd tax 34?

gst will be the machine price or the final otr price?

 

if machine is max 10k.. will it make my otr with insurace be 14000??im a p plate. coz to me it jus doesnt add up..

I believe IU doesnt belongs to those shop? It belong to LTA, therefore, i guess it come tgt with the bike with no fee at all.

And also dont forget, if your bike is 10k are you going to pay FULL cash or by loan? If by loan, not forgetting about their interest..

If you're going to get a 2A aft a year, i suggest you just rode any cheap bike and change to a better one when you have cls 2A.

if they dont want to make it clear on whats included, walk away.

 

becos you dont want to end up in a situation where "u think, i thot, who confirm?" and in the end, becos u paid for deposit already, realise still got add-this-add-that, llst.

Agree on walking away if the shop is not forthcoming in what's in the OTR pricing. Something definitely is very wrong. No shops would sell something without telling u upfront what's the actual cost. Also, u can also check if the shop is a GST registered company. If they are not, then they cannot charge u for that.

 

IU is chargeable at LTA. I remember when I bought my XR4 back in '99 from Looi's they do charge for the installation which is $150 (LTA fees) but I opted out since that time I don't travel along ERP routes and the bike was more for trailing. Registration fee is also to LTA similar to transfer fee.

 

2B bike can go for used units and it's cheaper to get from direct owners. And my advice is don't stop at 2B. Riding since '93, I rode many classes and types of bikes. Minimum is a 2A for better stability and handling.

i know IU is counted.. thats why i wrote it in my post.more help pls! nth answered. thanks nbk3 and paikia44.. yes its a BIG company with a 3 storey building.of course im not stopping at 2b.. whats the point in riding if im gonna stop there.
