Unless your bike is the type where you always High rev, then 300v is alright. For the average joe, Normal fully or even semi-synthetic Engine Oil will do. To me the Oil Viscosity is more important than brand names.

"Motul 300v is suitable for high rpm engines that produce minimal to average levels of exhaust gasses." from http://dreadedfist.hubpages.com/hub/Motul-300v

Not say cannot use or discouraging you. Juz dat I feel the price is quite high. Then again it your pocket so I cannot say hahaha.

I've been using Maxima Extra and feel comfy with it. (I can also be said brand conscious.) hahahahah

I used to preach on fully syn not until i got my Gtr14... Used semi-syn till now n bike still running smoothly... Too much hype on fully syn.. To b sure, chck ur manual n as long as e eo meet e requirement then no worries :) ... N yes, fully syn meant for high rev bikes.. If u rpm always above 7-8000 rpm then ok but mine always cruising @3500 rpm already 120km/hr liaoz n change gear at every 4000 rpm so no point getting fully syn..

the first question should not be which oil to use. it should be how to you intend to use your bike? what is your servicing and maintainance plan?

for example i run $7 dino juice and change it every 3000km. at a cost of $33 for 300V, i will need a servicing plan of 12,000km OCI to make the cost worthy. of couse this equation will be throw out of balance if you do extreme usage like tracking, drag racing or simply decide to throw in a turbo charger for your bike.

as for the average rider, it doesn't worth it salt. and if you happen to ask, dino juice will protect as well as synthetic in the correct OCI. any decent brand name with the correct API and JASO rating will make very little different.
