Didn't see any dragstar but did see a Shadow 1100 at Rosli's shop very good condition, red/black.

ya i know and test rode already......but somehow i cannot put my finger to it.... dun koe why i dun like it.. think its the posture.....

 

if anyone interested.....can get it before its gone, if the bike is service at Rosli, u can be sure that confirm no problem....

Any stars here going for their servicing soon? I would like to tag along.. Going for my first servicing and dun really know wat to take note of.. Diff to find out bout xvs 400 online.. Anyway would like to stick with planet ah chong hope to find kaki!

Hi, I just complete the transfer on Wed. Now I'm the proud new owner of '99 green-cream Dragstar classic.

 

Would love some advice on how to DIY/ maintain my green machine (so many chrome parts) *scratch head.

Congratulations Everman, it's not hard to maintain, the chrome can be very easily cleaned with the microfibre cloth you buy easily at any car accessories section of a supermarket.

I sold my classic in '08 and totally regretted it :sob:

Now I am trying to buy back a DSC4 :cheeky:

Don't really like the custom one...

Hope to find a nice one again :smile:

Congrats on ur new buy.. Guess u bought it from the owner who posted last week. My frd was there viewing the bike too. But looks like u got the deal 1st.

 

Well depending on what are u lookin to DIY or maintain. For chrome bits i like to use the brand Turtle Wax Chrome Polish. I find the finishing very very good.

 

As for body wax, I think most normal wax would do the job.

 

Get urself a good tire wash solution too if u wan ur rims to shine. Road dirt n grease can really kill the blink on ur rims.

Dragstar Classic would have the more tourer look. Bigger and longer stretched fenders. Inverted looking forks but its just additional casing actually. Works wonders when u beef up the Classic.

 

Dragstar Custom would have the cruiser look. A duck backside fender n bigger and slimmer front tires. Easy to achieve the chopper or bobber style bike. Easier to chop chop up too.

 

So it really depends on ur character, ideas n style for ur bike.

cause dragster is the lowest maintance bike.. cheap and good.

Venue - Millenia Walk Coffee Club or Orchard Parade Starbucks

 

Time - 8-9pm

 

Purpose - Get together for coffee n bike chats n ride.

 

End - 11pm - 12am

 

After Party? - JB for petrol pumps and bike wash

 

Feel free to bring along passport if interested to head in to JB.

Calling all Star riders to join in. Other cruiser bikes are most welcome. So feel free to call along ur frds from the forum or personal cruiser frds.
