Hi everyone, my front brake pump is ruined. Can anyone give pointers on where to get a cheap replacement? I have only 11.5 months of COE left so I don't wish to spend a lot.

I have a Dragstar 400 Custom mwts.

 

COE expires end Dec 2016 (renewable).

Engine is in good condition but some repairs must be done to the wiring and charging mechanisms.

Probably ideal for custom lovers looking to pimp and mod.

Bought the baron starbar because the bike feels very squashed together

Was eyeing the nostalgia bars but didnt want to have tight cables, awkward wrist angles, problem with traffic etc

The starbar is the "in between"

 

 

 

 

Well lane splitting is hindered when at a stop.

Bike feels lighter.

 

Its kinda exactly where I wanted to be without going for a drastic change.

 

Looking back, a nostalgia is what you want if you want a more obvious change.

I have the coil burnt so it does not charge battery and needs replacement... Anyone has a spare coil plsease? Even used one will be ok in a good condition. The price in Yamaha appears quite astronomical... Thanks

I had a good look at my tires after recent episode of hard breaking - rear tire locked very quickly. The tires appear still ok visually but in fact they are old (F2010 and R2007!!) so no surprise now why I locked it...

 

Could you please share any pointers which tires you use currently - good models and not so good ones if any?

 

The bike manual recommends the following tires for DS650C (my bike is in fact 400C but I was told these bikes are similar):

Front 130/90-16M/C-67S

Rear 170/80-15M/C-77S

Bridgestone G703/G702

Dunlop D404F/D404G

but I am not sure if these models are still in production as my bike is 12 years old...

 

I did RTFF back to 2004 when guys recommended Metzelers, Pirellis etc but I cannot find any recent review.

 

Any suggestions on the tires models and places to shop good value nowadays?

 

What would be average market price which I need to target for both front and rear tires? Work costs about 30?

Here is a good link but michelin and avon i cant find in sg for our size.

 

Ive tried all the others. Dunlop was the least nimble and followed the road uneveness. Bridgestones lasts forever. Metzeler was the most sporty but i had a wet skid on it. Shinko was cheap and soft and rear lasted till 75k. Lab has it the cheapest. All other shops prices starts from 290 regardless of brand.

 

You might want to change the tubes while youre at it. I think it was 20f 30-40r
