Hi all, new draggie owner here. Just picked up my ride yesterday. Looks to be 90% stock. I have a few questions.

Always heard shaft drives are low maintenance, how often does it need servicing and lubrication and can it be done ourselves or do we need to send it in to a mechanic?

Also where is a good place to go and browse side boxes and Saddle bags?

What is the recommended service interval? I ride everyday to and from work. I've heard differently from 3 different sources. Some say every 4mths some say every 3000km

My wife hates the stock colours (cream and dark green). What is the estimated cost of getting a custom paint job, nothing fancy. Either 1 or 2 colors. Been told can apply decals also. Is this recommended? Would it peel off after a while?

That should about cover most of my questions. Hope to see you guys on the road!

Cheers!

Hello, congrats. Its Low maintainance only because it doesnt have a chain.

You can try online for side boxes or saddlebags.

You will be treating it well with 5000km oil changes. Spark plugs and oilfilters every 10 000 km. Im not sure about shaft oil.

Since you just got it, change the air filter now to get better mileage.

I would reccomend rosli at autobay at kaki bukit for servicing.

But he works really slow.

First of all congrats! For me I change the shaft oil after 2 engine oil change. I believe can go beyond that, but I just play safe. Expensive if shaft spoilt. :)

Morning guys. After parking my bike this morning I saw a lot of oil leaking from the shaft drive at the rear wheel. Oil is clear. Any idea what the problem could be? Checked for any visible damage but can't find any. As the bike is only 2days in my possession can I bring it back to the shop and claim warranty?

Shafts are low maintenance as there can be no slacking like chains. any faults would also be gradual and not catastrophic, unlike chain which may just snap. just take note of any knocking/grinding sound that may indicate a worn shaft. Shaft oil can be changed annually actually.

You can go to auntie shop at kaki bukit rd 2 browse through saddlebags and other cruiser accessories, but she very kuailan one.

As hydher mentioned, rosli is the first mechanic u should go to get the bike thoroughly checked. Very knowledgeable, it'd do u good to listen to his advice. He can be a little costly and a lot slow, but he'll take care of your bike. Word of advice, try not to leave your bike in his shop.

Of course I trust my skills. I ride alone cos I don't trust the competency of the driver next to me.

Could be a worn gasket. U should be able to go back to the shop for free repair provided u had a warranty agreement at point of purchase.
