1) what does all e H4 H6 stands for?

2) how about the numbers 7500, 6000, etc?

3) in singapore, HID unless factory installed is illegal? Factory installed as in buy e bike 1st and comes with.

4) lastly, am i able to identify wat is e type if HID shown in e picture? Or ve to look at e light bulb?

1) H4,H6,H7 all these are bulb sizes.

2) That is the intensity of the brightness

3) Yup. So far no bikes are legal with HID

4) U mean the size of the bulb ? The picture u show is a pic of the ballast. Then no.

Yup. So far only cars come OEM fitted with HID. Bikes sadly no.

This denotes the Bulb type ie. the physical interface of the bulb to the bulb holder

If your are referring to 7500k, 6000k, "K" is Kelvin, a measurement of the color temperature. This is not to be mistaken for brightness which is measured in Lumen. The reality is the higher up the scale in K, the less bright they become. Eg 4300K lamps are approx 10% brighter than the 6000K.

I ve just uninstalled e HID from my bike today. I am asking these questions becoz i intend to sell them.

As to y i choose to remove is beco i feel tat they r too bright and "irritating" on e roads. Some may feel tat being brighter will make sure tat other road users will be able to see us. But my opinion is tat when it is bright to e extend tat i may distract or cause momentary blindness, it is in fact more dangerous. :(

i agree with u. hid is too dangerous if not install properlly.

hid should nvr be install on a halogen housing. its too glaring.

ive install hid on mine. on the low beam. took it out , replace the bulb to a yellow ones. install it at my high beam which is using a projector housing which will not glare.

disadvantage is now i cant flash my high beam since hid needs time to "warm up"

Its only dangerous if it's glaring but not too bright.

Most retrofit HID kits have bulb with a deflector at the bottom to minimise the glare. If the HID is aimed correctly, the glare is actually no more than a halogen bulb.

Even halogen bulbs have phasing it but it's may not be noticeable to naked eyes. You want instant brightness, the only solution now is LED

mine too is that normal hid kit.

the hid bulb that has "anti glare" is sold by limbat. quite costly. i rather convert my lamp to projector.

Thanks for e info but doubt I'll wan to install HID even if it's street legal. I'm constantly cursing those super glare headlights (some of which i believe r not HID). Dun wish to become a target of my own curses. Lol.

And dun really think e installation is simple for bikes. Had to dismantle e fuel tank and other parts to reach e cabling. Scary~

That is pretty incredible and it's plug and play but it has too many parts ie, the fan and LED controller.

On a car, the fan is mounted on the cap that seals the headlight housing, so it's just circulating the hot air within, how will the cooling be effective ?

On a bike, most headlights do not come with such cap, without the fan, how is 0LED bulb kept cool ?

Sorry but i really despise those who install HID or white bulbs. Really annoying.

Y? White bulb are juz plain normal bulbs but in white.

Hid I understand u

Some cubs even thought of placing hid, damn. The position of their lamps itself is already glaring enough

I used e HID for a while as i bought my bike 2nd. Then quickly uninstall it in 2 weeks becoz i find it very bright. Somemore fz1 is quite a tall bike. :/

sadly not many will like me spend $ to uninstall it or change to a dimmer bulb. :) in fact quite a few of my frenz asked me to keep e HID and revenge those other HID on e road. :/ but e innocent group how? Lol

I understand

I've install hid twice. As usual the mech will say, will not glare. Can just adjust the bulb position. Twice from two different source.

In the end, as I did not want to waste $ . I install in on my high beam.

I agree with you bro! Even though u dun check mirrors, the lights still very glaring.

But if go on touring then i wil change to HID.

to be honest... HID or non HID.... the glare will alway be there... i am riding an R6... using only low bean with normal halogen which is only on the right side of the head lamp... still if the car is about 1 -2 car distance i can see their rear mirror reflect my light to their eyes area...

Ya. E light will be reflected and they will surely see ur light. But HID e intensity of e light is different. I'm pretty sure tere will be a scientific calculation but HID is way more irritating. By many times.
